Lady Terminator is awesome. Black Magic and Boxer's Omen are good but weird as fuck. They have lots of Buddhism stuff and black magic.

I liked Ilsa a lot too. Totally brutal. She also had the best tits ever. You like it too?

One of the best vampire movies of all time.

As far as Vampire movies, it's so different than Universal w/Lugosi, Hammer w/Lee, Nosferatu w/Schreck or w/Kinski. I love those and Let The Right One In is a great film as well. The Swedes and Norwegians have put out some great stuff in the past few years. Also check out Dead Snow and Fritt Vilt 1 & 2.

A lot of people really liked Let The Right One In. I thought it was ok, but not great.

I'll be watching this later. It's supposedly a true representation of the UK Moors Murders, that happened in the early 60s.

Watched Heat the other day. Wow. If you want to remember why DeNiro and Pacino are all that, give this one a visit. Excellent all around.

For some reason I tried to watch the movie Legend--with Tom Cruise and that chick who looks kinda like Phoebe Cates. (Hotness) Completely unwatchable. I couldn't believe how bad it was. The Devil was very well realized--very sexual, like a gigantic, red, erect penis flexing--but the rest was total garbage. I couldn't even finish it.

Saw the August Underground movies plus Fred Vogel's attempt at making a slasher-type movie. Although there are good make-up and effects, Fred Vogel is a fucking hack and makes Uwe Boll look good. I wanted to sit through all 4 of these to form an objective opinion. The slasher movie, The Redsin Tower, was the least bad. But those August Underground movies are steamy turds with worms swimming through them. Vogel is featured as the main killer and is so annoying that you want to jump through the TV and beat his head in with his own hammer. If anything, these fake snuff films are boring. Download if you must see them out of curiosity like I did, but don't pay for this crap. Don't worry, after seeing this shit your conscience will be clean about stealing from Vogel. Case closed.

Not Another Teen Movie

Still in my top ten flicks for six reasons:
1. Chyler Leigh
2. Lacey Chabert
3. Jaime Pressley
5. Mia Kirschner
5, Cerina Vincent (Exchange student)
6. Amber Marie Goetz (Window Girl)

And the stupid humour...such as

Catherine: I want you.
Jake: But, you're my sister.
Catherine: Only by blood.

Sandy Sue: Give me an 'H'. Give me a 'U'. Give me a - giant pussy-licking, ass-fucker cock shit.
Sandy Sue: I'm sorry. That was my Tourette's.

Catherine: Can I ask you a question? Why is it then whenever I tell a guy to put it wherever they want, they always stick it in my ass?
Malik: Damn.
Jake: That's way too much information for me, Catherine.
Catherine: Oh no Jake. Way too much information would be telling you that whenever they're done I always take a huge dump.
Malik: Shit.
Catherine: On their chest.
Malik: Oh, that is whack.

Thanks buddy. I have that one but the subs are funky. I'm still holding out for an official DVD being put out.

They were speaking German, and it didn't come with subs, so I got them from a different site. What's really funky is the picture. It's formatted too small, and when you try to expand it to a larger picture, it looks really bad.

It's probably not gonna work....But I'm gonna try to reformat to a larger HD picture. IF it comes out good, I'll hard code the subs into it, and burn it to DVD+R for TV viewing. IF it works it works, I'll upload it to Megaupload and PM you the link.

Last House On The Left

it is a shame that last house on the left hasn't gotten the respect that it deserves, because it truly is great for what it is, yet in a (very) disturbing kind of way.

and as far as magnolia, i'd recommend getting real high when you watch it. the combination of the excellent cinematography/soundtrack will leave you in awe, and will ultimately draw you towards the rest of p.t. anderson's (phenomenal) movies. he has without question become my favorite director.

Two foreign movies I've seen today and yesterday, with a common theme of someone moving to a new town and how it affects them.

L'Annulaire
Starring the gorgeous Olga Kurylenko and with some partial and full frontal nudity. Very creepy and moody as only the french can do them. Slow paced, but in an artistically deliberate way that relies more on the visual stimulus than dialogue or action. The ending leaves you wondering.

The Bothersome Man
A Norwegian film about a man who arrives on a bus in a city with no memory of how he got there. People around behave in strange ways. A mixture of horror and black humour. It left me thinking about consumerism and mediocrity. My favourite line from the movie is when Andreas asks a girl he has fallen in love with who she prefers.

Am I just cynical, or does this sum up man-woman relationships perfectly?
He: "Am I more important than Lars Birger and the others?"
She: "You're very nice."
He: "And the others?"
She: "They're very nice too."
He: "But who do you prefer?"
She: "I think everyone's nice...But it would be nice to move to something bigger. Three rooms and maybe a bathtub. I don't have a bathtub now, just a shower."

The look on his face says it all.

Review...

Moon

Rated PG

Review by David Stratton of The Movie Show

In MOON, Sam Bell, SAM ROCKWELL, has only two weeks left of a three-year stint overseeing the automated mining of HELIUM 3, a source of clean energy, from the far side of the Moon. He longs to see his wife and daughter again, but in the meantime is cared for by the over-protective computer, GERTY, voiced by Kevin Spacey.

One day there’s an accident, and Sam is confronted by another Sam…

Duncan Jones extraordinary feature film debut combines some of the themes of Kubrick’s 2001 with more modest experiments in sci-fi such as Douglas Trumbull’s SILENT RUNNING.

MOON is more interested in ideas than in special effects; in the not-too-distant future, will human beings retain their humanity? (It’s a message also explored, in an entirely different and less interesting way, in the recent Bruce Willis film, SURROGATES).

DUNCAN JONES, who happens to be the son of DAVID BOWIE, and screenwriter Nathan Parker, invest the film with a rich imagination and they’re very well served by the amazing SAM ROCKWELL who, in a tour de force performance, plays opposite himself for much of the running time.

This is science fiction at its stimulating best.

Last movie I watched from start to finish was Inglourious Basterds but I watched a bit of the Matrix last night. Caught it at the end.
