people on this site are quick to call me ignorant for choices i have made in my personal life but to me its amazing just how ignorant some people are.i didnt really want to get into this but since people keep using me as an example and making assumptions about me,my race and my family history im going to take the time to set a few things straight.
NOT EVERY BLACK PERSON OF LIGHTER COMPLEXION IS HALF WHITE OF EVEN HAS ANY CAUCASIAN HERITAGE.black people have a variety of different racial mixes going back generations.these other racial mixes that can produce lighter complexioned african americans as well.im personally west african and french from my dads side.my mom however was a mixture of black,irish and native american.my dad is from liberia which was a country that was "founded" by freed slaves.
its also ignorant to assume that whatever caucasian heritage i do have is the by product of a willing copulation between one of my ancestors and a white man.both my mother and father are the descendants of slaves.i would assume most people know this but it was very common practice in america for male slave owners to rape their female slaves.
in america slavery has been the most brutal than in any other place in the world.i could go on and on about how cruel and vicious white people in this country has been to my ancestors but its not my job to educate grown people.go google it for your self and while your at it google systematic/institutional racism in america as well.get smart!
yes i have made some choices in my life that im not the proudest of or the most honorable to my family and ancestors (i.e escorting).that however is between me and them.i personally dont consider it a contradiction that i entertain white clients.if i owned a business despite my personal beliefs i would still have to service white people right?lol to me escorting is truely just a job.for me there is a mental and emotional separation between what i do for a living and my personal life.its really not going to make sense to you unless your in the industry.

Amber...Sometimes leaving a little mystery is a good thing. Personally I had no issues with your personal choices. I told you I know plenty of withe and black folks who hope thier kids date withing thier race, and I see nothing wrong with that, but you kinda blew your cover on this one. It does strike me as a bit hypocritical to date white dudes in your bizz, but not outside of it. Good enough to pay your bills but not take you to dinner ? I think we're all very familiar with that dark period in our history , and if some are not shame on them, so it probably does no good to remind everybody about it as some sort of mitigating factor in your decisions made in 2011. We know the brutality of slavery, but as far it being more brutal here, I'd take issue with that. Please don't in any way think I'm suggesting anything here except to point to some factual history. We know throughout history indentured servants and slaves were treated far more harshly than here. The Spanish, The Egyptians ( how do you think the pyramids were built?) The Chinese treated the Japanese horribly. The Romans to just about every land they conquered, The Huns, The British, and the list goes on for centuries.
We also know that Africans had a hand in the slave trade...they sold their own to White Europeans.
With respect to the mixing of the races, yes it's a historical fact of Slave masters raping their female slaves. We also know that Thomas Jefferson had relations with a beautiful slave women, and historians are inclined to think it was not rape. That's not to suggest that he didn't have ultimate power over her, and she had little real choice in the matter, but my point is that's it was many times more complicated than the all too common rape situation that you mentioned. Not every black person of mixed race is a descendent of a raped slave woman....I'm not suggesting you weren't ...I'm simply saying there was much more mixing of the races that had more to do with sex than rape. The famed ( some might say infamous) Harvard Professor Gates did a study on this some years ago and was astounded to find not only wasn't he of pure African Blood, but most African Americans he studied weren't and almost none of it could be traced to slave owners. many had native American roots as well as European and South American. I'm not trying to engage in a history lesson here, or play down the horrors of slavery...I'm simply saying you can't have a rational discussion on the subject especially on here. I understand you were hung over...I'm just suggesting some things are better left unsaid and I think you were just better off stating your personal preferences and leave it at that...but having said that...your choices , whatever your reasons should be respected .
