I'm not an expert in IP law, but in copyright there is a 'fair use' doctrine that allows limited reproduction of material in the public domain without asking permission. That means it's okay to repost one or two photos, as the rules of this forum allow.

You don't strike me as someone concerned about copyright. You already copy pictures and post them constantly. Withholding the name of the source doesn't give you any protection for violating copyright.
