Well for me the answers is simple. A person born of a particular sex may feel uncomfortable with their assigned gender so they wish to change. Jamie and Ada will always be male regardless of whether or not they have GRS. They can choose if their gender is "man" or "woman" because gender is not solely defined by genetics. From there, the issue becomes does the GRS, the act of cutting it off actually make you a woman or not.

To me to reduce transition to that is ridiculous especially because that means that F2M transmen never can be men since they are not sewing on a cock. M2F transwomen do not have different rules than F2M transmen just because something can be replaced with an orifice.

A Transgender person is simply one that does not accept their birth gender and takes steps to alter it. That is the most basic definition. Those steps start at attire and lifestyle changes and end with permanent body alteration to exhibit anatomical similarities to the chosen gender be it genital or only secondary sex characteristics.

If a transwoman chooses to see her self as a man (not a male) so be it. It undercuts their efforts but I will respect their choice of label no matter how idiotic and pathetic it is.
