I'm not sure if you're actually directing this to me or to the company, Grooby Productions. I am giving you the benefit of the doubt and so glazing over this. Well, no, I won't... because I'm pretty sure you're directing it at me.

So, let me state UNEQUIVOCALLY... I have NEVER, EVER asked for a handout of ANY KIND. It was not my upbringing to do so, and while I think that there is room enough for some compassion for those less fortunate, I basically believe in a work-hard-to-succeed mentality.

My first job was working along immigrants at 13 in the lettuce fields of the Salinas Valley laying irrigation pipe (insert jokes here). Anyone who has done that job will tell you it is exhausting and difficult work. Throughout High School, I traveled the world during the summers and have the Passport stamps to prove it. I've seen the good and bad of India, China, Guatemala, Costa Rica and numerous other places. Traveled Europe. Was homeless in San Francisco (partly why I love the city). Worked my ass off legitimately to get off the streets. Never been on any sort of government program. Never asked anyone for a favor I didn't earn. Worked my way through college. Am virtually debt free (small car loan). Built a successful solo site from scratch in a niche that usually doesn't favor success for someone like myself, and do not ask free favors of anyone (ask around). I work hard, play hard, and love the life that I currently lead.

So if you're speaking about me, you have absolutely NO idea what you're saying and I deserve an apology.

I have no reason to doubt you..however..something in their begging has triggered a spark of familiarity within you. It's obvious.
No one in their right mind (unless you're from another country and brought into the MYTh of "The Land Of The Free") is going to go to the extreme of defending not one..but THREE people with their hands out asking for donations..UNLESS they subscribe to that pathetic mentality themselves.

Krissy, I never really got the chance to air my opinion in all of this. The conversation was already pacing faster than I could reply so I didn't have much of a chance to get into it, and you probably assumed I completely agree with Bella. I don't.

I don't care if Jaime wants donations. I wouldn't complain if she were to post a new donation thread on HA once a day or more. I was a little worried that her motivations behind this donation post weren't honest, but once Tiffany corroborated the story I was satisfied.

I don't understand why she shouldn't ask for a donation after being robbed. People act like it should be her responsibility to essentially double-pay the rent because that's what "responsible people" do. I don't know her finances, but I'm not about to assume she's sitting on a huge pile of cash while she's asking for boob job donations and promoting the crap out of her new site content.

I don't have any problem with Jaime asking for donations or promoting new site content but lately, that's all she's been doing around HA; and she's not the first girl shunned around here because she has no appetite for conversation. That's just what happens when most of the site visitors think anybody is being too needy and not contributing anything back to the forum. If not in offense to the idea of asking for money after a personal emergency, it's likely that she's simply been asking too much lately.

So somehow I missed this entire page.

OK, well, that is understandable but not really what is being said in most of the posts. This is very reasonable and perhaps you've seem more of this asking for money than I have since I have limited time (doesn't seem like it tonight) to browse and read stuff.

If this was the entire premise, I agree. I would hate for this forum to turn into a list of girls asking for cash.

What I am saying is that this whole, 'Oh, this is made up' and 'Oh, this is funny' stuff is uncool. We ALL have periods in life when a little help is necessary and we shouldn't have to be mocked when it is asked for. Essentially, 'Oh sorry that happened, but here, let me kick you in the teeth since you're down anyway.'

What I'm asking for is a little civility and to stop the stupid (and yes, it is stupid) speculation. Somehow we have gone from 'held up at gunpoint' to ...'now it is assuredly FACT that it was a trick of Tiffany Starr and geez, these girls only pay $550.00 in rent so what's the big deal...' That is mostly speculation without any shred of evidence to back it up.

So, again, I will state this. Would it somehow make this all different if Tiffany was laying dead on the floor and Jamie was asking for donations to help bury her? Because it pretty much seems like, 'Well, no one got hurt so I'm just going to make a mockery of this.' Which I think is a remarkably callous way to live.

If you go a whole lifetime without needing the assistance of others, count yourself among the very, very fortunate and pass that on to others.

OK, so now we're getting to the root of your issue. So, here is the problem.

You have so little faith in humanity that you can't even believe that someone actually cares a little bit.

I choose the discussions that I get into carefully as my post history will show. You'll also see that I have a history of sticking up for people. I would be saying the exact same things here if it were say... Bella or Grim asking for a hand and these things were being said about them. I don't really care who it is, it just happens in this case, that I do know Jamie because she has done some work for me.

So, ask yourself this. Clearly, I've made more enemies than I've made friends by posting in this thread, so WHAT DO I HAVE TO GAIN from it? If, as you say, I am a money-grubbing, handout loving person, wouldn't I just chime in with everyone else in the hopes that one of those people would strike up a friendly conversation and become a Member of my site?

I get it. You think that all people are crappy and that all 'us girls' hate all the guys and think they're all chasers and etc. I reject the premise. I have very good conversations with Members of my site who choose to write me and I try to answer EVERY guy who emails me a response. I don't consider all guys 'chasers' and have had very good relationships with men who I have truly cared about.

Have there been bad, of course. But like I stated earlier, I reject the premise that all girls in porn must be beggars, liars, and cheats; just like I reject the premise that all guys are simply chasers and only in it for sex.

Anyway, I'll dig my old passport out and post a picture here of my stamps. If I'm not lying about the places that I've been, it is unlikely that I've lied about anything else...would you agree?

Nobody is saying they can do that. We're just saying that there are proper ways of asking, appropriate people to ask, and acceptable circumstances under which to ask. Nobody got hurt and these are people who have money saved up and earmarked for other purposes who have admitted that they could easily divert funds to cover their losses. I mean, gee... is waiting an extra month for a boob job really THAT bad?! Seriously.

Again, I'm glad nobody got hurt, but they really need to woman up and deal with it and stop asking for unnecessary charity.
