yeah but that's sex alone and frankly a small part of sex. the brain is where it's at and the brain is all female. I get a kick out of beliefs my sexual openness makes me less masculine. it really just makes me less hung up and more able to enjoy what life has to offer and really ope to new experiences some of which end up being rewarding some not. I'd rather be open and adventurous than in denial about my actual sexual being.

I can't change prejudices but to be able to understand my pov really shouldnt be difficult for the women here given the number of times they have no doubt faced ignorance and statements so false held with such conviction that were laughable.

If I was DL self hating and in denial I could see the condescending attitude but really that whole line of thinking with the penis and the man and the doubt and insecurity it generates is a waste and seems like a real negative reinforcement on a woman's self image and a fuel to feed insecurity. I am not attracted to images of some of you not because i have slept with men and have some level of physical compatibility in bed it's because I find you beautiful. Because I see someone as sexy doeasn't mean I don't see a real human being with thoughts and feelings and not an object... Anyway i am looking forward to a meal out and the potential for a friend and hearing about someone's life that doesnt mirror my own. i think folks should just relax about gay straight bi and do what they are comfortable with and leave the judging to Pat Robertson.

I am not interested in entering any of these asinine arguments against Kelly (or against anyone else for the record) but I can't help but feel that certain people are overly angry and once again fighting like rebels without a true cause.

This thread was a sound idea that has created a (mostly) valid discussion. I will add that the conversation that Kelly started is a very important topic to be discussed in our community. I know that I personally feel better that I was able to write many of feelings and frustrations regarding the ladies in this thread yesterday.

I really don't believe that loyalty to any particular group means toeing a party line or siding with a belief that one personally regards as wrong. I think it is extremely important for Kelly to voice her opinions ( as it is for each of us) and be a brave voice of dissent. You can't tell me it is all bullshit because her original post sure felt familiar to me in my own experiences.

I've always told myself some of the difficulties in dealing with many TGs has more to do with how hard it is to BE transgendered.
I put up with more shit from a TG than I would a GG, to a point. If it's really too hard being up front with one another I just bounce and quit trying.

I never doubted your intention with this thread for a second. I was relieved that I found a thread where I felt I had the appropriate chance to state so many of my feelings that I have been holding in.

If I were you I would not expend much energy trying to defend your original intention, I believe it was clear that you have formed your own opinion on this subject and wanted to know if/how many others shared similar beliefs.

I've stayed out of this topic because it's something I feel somewhat awkward discussing... I should state for the record that unlike 99% of my posts here, I'm being serious with this one.

I do see Kelly's point, but I think the reason I do is I come from a world of privilege that most TSs on the board don't have. I'm white; I'm well educated; on top of my adult entertainment work I function in the corporate world as a manager. I'm a part of mainstream society.

I don't live in the shadows. I don't struggle wondering when I'm going to see my next payday. I have folks who readily accept me as a woman (in fact most folks in my day to day life have zero idea I am a transsexual).

I live a life denied to most transsexuals. I'm both aware of how lucky I have been and grateful for it.

It gave me far different experiences with men. Only ONE of the men I have ever dated knew I was transsexual before they expressed interest in me. I had the chance to know they were into WHO I was long before they knew WHAT I am. That's not to say the men I've dated hadn't had previous experiences with transsexuals -- most had. I've never experienced the "chaser" scenarios most describe because of how I met the men I did. Yet had I met these same men other under circumstances they'd likely meet "chaser" criteria. My situation frames and alters how I view these men.

Take then the perspective of my sisters who do find their best economic option to be an escort. Many times they get a first-hand look at the worst of people. I know that as a webcam girl I've had to learn to create a fabricated intimacy with my fans and it does skew my own ability in my personal life to express true intimacy. I can't fathom the effect that situation would be for the women who do work escorting. I don't escort precisely because I know if I did it, I'd likely be equally as jaded.

The scary thing is... I'm not sure if I simply view the world through rose colored glasses or if those who are more negative towards men have sunglasses on so dark they can't truly see anymore.

My suspicion is that the reality lies somewhere between our perspectives. There are some guys who are good and true and don't deserve the bum rap and that there are some who are bad jerks who do.
