Re: What is The Last Movie You Watched?
This week I watched Source Code, and Inglourious Basterds.
I can't vouch for the science of Source Code and worked out before the end what Jake Gyllenhall's status was, but I thought it was well done if not as good as Vantage Point as far this genre goes where the narrative is spliced into several different sequences which range back and forth through time from different perspectives. An entertaining film that gets 8/10.
Tarantino hasn't made a truly good film since Pulp Fiction, this particular film is incoherent and lacking in depth. Entertainment value 4/10, Christoph Waltz makes this, otherwise its of little interest.

The Descendants - George Clooney's latest showcase...........was brilliant.....maybe a little over-wrought at times but beautiful to see and to hear. Not a lot of flash or wasted scenes. Not much more you can ask for in a movie IMO.
J. Edgar - If Eastwood was trying to convey the atmosphere that Hoover created and that created him then he succeeded (based on what I read about Hoover). Lots of shadows, darkness, and muted colours created a definite air of oppression and single-mindedness. A good movie and - I think - at times very good performance by Leonardo DiCaprio but far from enjoyable.

On the wkend: The Green Hornet. Unwatchable. To me Seth Rogen was all wrong for the part. He was terrible. Cameron Diaz [who I like] was merely going through the motions. So, I wouldn't recommend it. Read a book instead -- ha ha! Or: watch the show from the 60s with the legendary Bruce Lee.

Senna
Outstanding story about the great Brazilian Grand Prix driver. Recommended even if you are not a F1 fan.
