Re: New Gurl In Town
I have always dreamed of touring the U.K. and heading north to Scotland and Ireland. But when you were here, you obviously didn't see rural up-state CT near the Mass border. The mountains and rolling green hills are beautiful. Very "old country" looking with lakes and waterfalls and old stone houses, covered bridges, and all the nature you could want, in the middle of nowhere. Quite breathtaking. And lots of clean crisp air.

OK you are a Norwalker. I love Mr. Frosty. Those fat dogs are great. I am just outside of Norwalk in a boardering town, but several of my friends live there, so I get to Norwalk quite often. I know that city like my own.
We can catch up on what has been going on here through PM's if you like. It's not often I find someone on the internet that is from my area. I see Harrisburg PA on the map. You are only a 3 hour drive to Norwalk.

Actually about 3 1/2 hours depending on the traffic through Jersey and NYC. But I always know when I am on I-95 and getting close to the CT line. The air strats to smell like salt water from L.I. Sound. A few miles after, I see the big blue "Welcome To Connecticut" sign. Then I know I am close to my old home.
I was born in the Norwalk Hospital on the hill. I left CT when I was 24, and been here in PA ever since. I moved here with most of my family.
I lived with a black TGirl for 3 years up there. Your pic is small but you look a lot like she did. She passed away a year before I left CT.
Sure if you don't mind, I would like to PM and talk about the old homestead. I would guess we have a lot in common about CT.
A TGirl is very special.
She is a gift to be treasured.

Wow. Well thank you sweetie. Getting a chance to meet you would be a wonderful honor for me. I don't know if I will ever get the chance to see the U.K., but as I said, it was always a dream to see it. Seeing England is a curiousity, but seeing Scotland and Ireland is a dream of mine. If I ever get lucky enough to go, I will absolutely keep your very sweet offer in mind.
Thank you sweetie.

Re: New Gurl In Town
I have been upcountry in Ct, Debra, and it is very beautiful, but if I tell you that I live in a village with a glorious mediaeval high st and a real castle at one end, you'll get a different picture. The village is mentioned in Domesday Book, which was William the Conqueror's inventory of all property in England compiled in 1086, I live in a much more modern part of the village called Newtown.....which dates from as late as 1247, and we have an annual fair in September to commemorate a Charter granted in 1320.
And of course, who better to chaperone you round the celtic parts of these islands than your very own Scots boy? But I suspect you'd already thought of that.....

Well sweeite, if you are going to be in my part of the country, my door is always open to you too. I have a nice home with a guest room that you are welcome to use. Or you could stay in my room next to me, or on me, or under me.........the choice is yours of course. LOL
