If you look at my avatar, the background is much darker allowing the lens to open more. This makes the light reflect off of my skin more, and appear lighter in tone. My true skin tone is darker than you see in the avatar. You may have noticed black people on TV look lighter with dark backgrounds, and darker with bright backgrounds. Even white people look pale with a light on them in the dark, but in bright sunlight, they have a deeper and more vivid flesh tone.

If you look at my leg sticking up in the upper right of that pic, notice the color of my skin is darker. That is how my skin tone really looks. But the first 2 pics in the post were forced to make this person's skin look darker than normal.

Or maybe you are right dear Watson, and it is someone else. Remember, I am NOT saying that any of them are of me.
I could be right. She may NOT NOT be you, but there's still the much more obvious deduction that they're all you.

I don't entirely buy into your passionate defense of the altered lighting for that first lady... :/

(I see a new piece of evidence has appeared lol. I will need something better than my phone for this one. My instinct is telling me you're throwing us off the trail with longer than necessary black boxes tho) :P

As I have said before, I am in advertising, and part of the job is directing photo shoots. What I said about lighting is true. Brighter backgrounds will make the lens close up a little to keep out glare. This gives the darker objects less light and makes them darker.

Darker backgrounds absorb light and do not reflect it. So the light sensor in the camera sees only the light reflecting from the person and opens the lens more. Then the light reflects off of the main feature more making it look lighter.

Oh yeah, I totally agree. That's not what I meant.
