Story of a Junkie - follows an junkie life in mid-80's LES Manhattan. Shitty quality, but love the shots from the old neighborhood
Death Valley - MTV episode (Reno 911 plus zombies, vampires & werewolves) funny

Closely Observed Trains is one of my favourite films of all time. A brilliant satire on the sclerotic nature of Czech/Soviet bureaucracy, carefully disguised as a loyal polemic about the nazis. I saw it many years ago in the old Glasgow Film Theatre, and when I bought it recently on DVD was delighted to find that it is still every bit as fresh, sharp and relevant as when it was first released.

A new French production called "The Artist" - black and white and silent! It's all about the moment when the silent movies gave way to the talkies at the end of the 920s. A very novel and rather cute film which references the style and approach of the romantic melodramas of the era. It's actually "in English"(ie the captions are in English). Really original.

Aliens yesterday... and i am about to watch it again today for the 200th time

Two days running... wow. Is the alien bursting out of John Hurt's chest the bit that makes you keep coming back? For me the best thing about the whole series of Alien films was Sigourney Weavers role. Good to see a really strong female character in sci fi.
