Default A Plea to the Mods

Please, moderators, do something about the constant outpouring of racist comment on the forum.

There's always been a strong undercurrent which lifts its ugly head above the sewer from time to time, but in the last few weeks it has become a complete torrent of filth. It's despicable, cowardly, and in some of the more civilised jurisdictions in the world, if spoken aloud it would be the subject of criminal charges.

Yes, the internet is a haven of free speech, but there must be limits, if not because of legal or political considerations, then for the sake of simple human decency.

Please, ban the racists. Thank you.

There are some members who are consistently and outspokenly racist both in what they say and the vocabulary that they use, and I don't mind naming and shaming.

Russtafa and arnie666 for a start.

Probably, Silcc, but I do hope not. If they fail to respond in some way, then the hell with the whole thing.

If the girls complained and reported then I think it would carry much more weight. I think Pm's would help but i'm sure they would ignore the first few of those too. I also suspect they will just tell us use the ignore button more often(which I don't feel I should have to do).

It's evident that this issue isn't a major concern, as if it was, it would've been removed and addressed with immediately. I worked as a system administrator for a tgirl forum site and it had very strict rules about the discussion of topics such as race. I had to remove them immediately as it was against the webmaster's request to have threads of that nature publicly available for opinions.

However, I don't necessarily agree. You say you understand that the "internet is a haven of free speech but there must be limits" limitation and freedom are far from parallel and are not friends!!!! They're a clash of politics. Public domains such as this are a whole roll of quarters with a side to each coin. Utilize your limitless freedom in the world wide web and simply ignore and move on to the next thread if it bothers you. I read things everyday that offend me, but don't feel the need to revoke the topic entirely from the internet!! My way or the highway is soo WWII. and this goes for all sides

Controversy brings interest! This is something I learned very quickly when the forum I worked for started to fail and go without any comments for days! Sorry but imagine a posting as follows: "omg guys i have to tell you about my day!!! so i woke up, picked the morning goop out of my eyes, made myself totally cute! went for a walk to mcdonald's. stuffed my face, then had a coffee, omg i spent all of my broke ass money!!! and then went home and now i'm talkin to you guys! isn't that like sooo exciting??" or a thread entitled "I shoved a chicken nugget up my ass and Ronald McDonald told me I'm a fag"
....controversy sells!!!! and apparently sex does too..hahahaha

    enjoy the pic boys!!!

That's an excellent post, Jizelle, and I can see that we're not going to agree in every respect, but I can certainly entirely appreciate the logic behind your stance.

However, I'm surely not alone in finding a lot of the comments made here as gratuitously offensive, and in some cases I suspect made purely to excite controversy, but racism is a universal curse that causes wars, massacres, and at a personal level, hurt, fear and worse.

There is no place for it in any civilised society. Stamp it out and offer it no quarter.
