Europeans certainly did not do Africa any favours by drawing up the lines on a map, but one of the reasons for this is because it overlooked the violent tribal feuds which had been in existence for a long time.

Respect for trying to represent. However, we should be thinking more broadly about the human race in general. Trying to equate the rise of homo sapiens in the part of the world we now call Africa with superiority or inferiority of people based on skin colour is absurd. From what we have deduced the earliest civilizations were in the Indus Valley and Mesopotamia - the Egyptians were on the scene some time after them. The Indus Valley isn't in what we call Africa today although Mesopotamia was in what we now call the Middle East so may be construed as 'African'. BUT paintings and other art from the times indicate that those people were not 'black' Africans like the Nubians. The point I'm trying to make is that Homo Sapiens may have originated in the heart of Africa but people didn't start building cities and living sedentary lives until they started moving northwards. Obviously the earliest civilizations weren't in Europe because migrations was slow. At some point it seemed that Neanderthal man evolved somewhere north of the African continent but may have been overwhelmed large migrations of Homo sapiens coming from Africa. Anyways I'll stop now as all of this info is readily available if one wants to really understand how we came to be here.
