You're telling us not to be cynical and yet your own cynicism over charitable giving sounds like the usual lazy excuse for not wasting money on such causes.
A great many charities have total transparency in their accounts these days which indicate exactly how much if any of their funding goes on administration costs. The most successful effort in the UK, Comic Relief, has raised over £100M in recent years without a single penny going on anything other than the aid itself.
Your argument is at best self-deceiving and at worst wilfully naive.
And I can't believe that an incident in which $550 was apparently stolen is now up for comparison against the entire global apparatus of charitable giving. smh.

How did this not make sense to you:
I simply asked why she has to beg strangers for the rent money when she has so many sources of income... seems fairly reasonable to me :/
COMPLETELY REASONABLE QUESTION.
That is fine and I don't have a problem with that. I have a problem with people making light of what could have turned out to be a very bad situation, mocking the OP, and offering their negative input into a thread which should have just been a 'that sucks but be well' type thread.

Bella is adult enough and also witty enough to know that this is tongue-in-cheek humor. She gives. She receives. Much like a whore. I sincerely doubt she needs you, and your All-Important Self to stick up for her but she probably appreciates the respect.
LMFAO! Love this!
Otherwise, I actually quite appreciate his support.

OK.. I will state this ONE MORE TIME.
I have not (someone please point this out to me) COMPARED Jamie's issue with ANY CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION. See, there are these things called 'Threads' and then there are 'Discussions' that go on in these 'Threads'. Sometimes the 'Discussions' take 'Tangents' into other 'Discussions' that have nothing to do with the original 'Thread'. This was the case when I was talking with @Winston93. It was a 'Discussion' on a 'Topic' that just struck me as needing an 'Answer'. I like 'Quotes'.
You have no idea how much money I donate so you're speaking out of turn on this one. Those who have dealt with me personally, probably don't have any problems believing that I support a very wide variety of charities with a substantial portion of the proceeds from my site. I have no problems donating to worthy causes, either time, energy, or resources. But it is NOT cynical to ask and know where exactly your money is going, and making sure that 0.90 of your dollar is not going to cover 'administrative costs'.
And since I know this is coming. I do not think it cynical to ask questions about this subject as in, 'Hey, if I send you money, how do I know you're not using it for something else and it really is going to your rent?' That was not what I originally had issue with. I had issue with the jokes and negativity about it. Throughout this thread I have not once spoken on behalf of Jamie and said you should donate to this. Ask your questions, but ask them nicely and don't make fun of something that could have turned out to be completely different and tragic. That is what I have stated throughout. Read what I've written, as long and boring as it is, and you'll see that is the case.

That was RE: @GrimFusion not you, who I love, adore, and aspire to become.

Thanks for keeping score too. I'm really not here to 'win' arguments, and if you have looked at my posting history, you'll see that I rarely get involved in actual discussions of this nature. Just every once in a while when one strikes me and I have the free time. Unlike yourself, I'm pretty secure in my intelligence and don't really need to show it off and put other people down at every chance I get to stroke my own ego.
You've got that completely twisted. In fact, I thought Bella was defending me at first, but it's a little more obvious that we both happen to share the same opinion. An opinion I posed long before Bella fleshed it out a few pages later. I can't help that you picked her to bicker with instead of me, but in challenging her opinion you're (unknowingly) challenging mine. I'm otherwise quite aware that Bella can defend herself in a conversation and I usually make a point out of ducking out so she can hand her own messes.
Don't pull the "I'm so above this" card because you wouldn't have been involved at all if that were true. I couldn't care less about your post history because each and every time I've noticed you involved in an argument, you always resort to the same tactics when you lose ground. Defame, distract, defend, and distort. When other people stoop to using the same tactics, you're suddenly so above arguing that it's all behind you and everybody else is immature for carrying on like prattling children.
Lame.
If it's all the same though, I'd rather not keep arguing.
Can we kiss and make up or something?
I don't think I've had a single conversation with you around HA that didn't degenerate into a mess of accusations. I'm not that hard to get along with. We've just never had a chance to be civil with one-another.

Hmm... like I said, I'm too lazy to check. But count them up. Pretty sure there was more than just one.

OMG. You're so vain. You think every thing is about you. You couldn't even let Christian have his own post about his site without interjecting your superior design elements into it. And of course your Photoshop prowess trumps everyone else. Grade-A Douche. How's that for defamation?
Please, give me the quotes now. Where have I SERIOUSLY 'defamed' anyone (and look up that definition first please)?
I specifically only answer one person at a time usually for the very purpose of not mixing up the debate threads. So, the distraction only comes if you can't follow the logic.
Defend... What in the world... were you just going for alliteration here?
Distort... again, give me the quotes where I have distorted someone's words? Actually, I would say most of the 'distortion' has come from people against me, who are clearly too lazy to read the entire thread and instead hang a response on one post without getting the overall context.
Without the third and some poetic license on the first, I would pretty much say you just described your debate tactics pretty accurately.
Yeah... about that kiss and make-up... Fine. Another thread to bygones.
