The only good thing that came out of eight years of the previous administration in the White House was the so called "No Call list", which was set up to keep telemarketers from calling one. Ya know what, it actually worked. For a few years I received no such calls.

Lately, however (Thanks to Best Buy I believe), they seem to be returning one again, and WOW, with quite a vengeance. When I ask them how they got my number, they either quickly hang up, or actually tell me that that information will be revealed (Yeah, right) with the packet I receive in the mail just as soon as I confirm my address and such. WTF???

Is there any such central number one can call to stop all telemarketing calls from bothering one? Here are a few of them:

To clarify (not to argue with you) Alyssa, I never had any 'intent' to beast one on you. We don't know each other (other than online). If you thought that or if that was your impression, then I'm sorry. I stated something on that thread by replying to ozma who said I took the 'ol cookie cutter excuse by saying "I'm not a racist, I got black friends" statement. I should have probably stayed away of it, because my statement and word use was poor (esl so shoot me) and people misconstrued that and jumped down my throat. But w/e..it's past! :roll:
