With a $54 million payroll (23rd ranked in baseball), they've lost a total of one game in the last month. To put it in perspective, the Yankees will be paying A-Rod roughly $25 million for this past season and shelled out $13 million to Roger Clemens for about 3 months of work.
I'm not saying that superstars aren't worth it. But it's great for baseball that a low payroll team made it to the World Series. I'll be rooting for the Rockies if they face Boston.
