My Mom is 95 and broke two hipbones this year, She is from Mississippi and Family is REAL BIG down there. Family is the blind spot.
She is doing her best to drive our family insane and possibly bankrupt.
The Republicans in Congress fear Roy Moore moore than the Democrats.

Here is the original story about Roy Moore. He picked up a 14 year old girl on two occasions, kissed her and fondled her. She was a child. She told friends of hers at the time who are listed as sources in the story. He was known among his associates to date high school girls when he was in his thirties.

This is what has become of the GOP. Both parties have their share of people who have engaged in sexual misconduct, including harassment and abuse. The game by each party to blame the other for having evil members is nauseating since what really matters is what the party does to purge itself of filth like Moore once they become aware of the conduct.

The Republican party has not distinguished itself by having awful people in its party but by defending them. But the party cannot sink much lower than it already has, since it is defending Russian espionage, obstruction of justice, and other serious matters for partisan reasons.

Why is op suspicious about the charges other than the fact that they undermine the campaign of a deeply sinister person?

From a President who has not read and does not understand the Constitution of the United States of America, to a Republican candidate who does not believe in it, preferring the Ten Commandments instead- (very long but fascinating article)

Shortly after he took office as chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, in 2001, Roy Moore caused a national furor by commissioning and installing a granite monument of the Ten Commandments in the state supreme-court building and refusing to remove it. For a time in the summer of 2003 the Rock—or "Roy's Rock," as the monument also came to be known—put the issue of the government's relationship to religion on front pages and made Moore infamous. When Moore defied a federal court order to remove the monument, supporters from across the country descended on Montgomery, taking up residence on the steps of the supreme-court building and praying, singing, threatening, blowing ram's horns—all to protect God from the latest assault by the federal government.

http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/2017/11/13/beverly_young_nelson_says_roy_moore_sexually_assau lted_her_when_she_was.html

A new accuser named Beverly Nelson has come forward and said that Roy Moore violently assaulted her when she was 16. It would be a stretch to say that him signing her yearbook "Roy Moore DA" is corroborating evidence, but it's noteworthy.

BTW, keurig has pulled their ads from the Hannity show because of his defense of Roy Moore. Conservatives are showing the libs they mean business by boycotting keurig.

THIS JUST IN: SATAN'S FOLLOWER SUPPORTS PEDOPHILE AND ASKS OTHERS TO SUPPORT HIM TOO!

Query: Isn't Satan's support corroborating evidence of wrongdoing?

So now you're calling fourteen year victims of rape whores? I'm sure you didn't mean it that way, but Satan worshippers gotta be extra careful how they put things...if they want to get their candidates elected anyway.

The GOP will absolutely stoop to anything. People in Alabama are receiving a robocall from someone claiming to be from the Washington Post offering 5 to 7 thousand dollars for them to claim they have incriminating info on Roy Moore. Let me deconstruct this for our viewers. The robocall is designed to make people think the charges against Roy Moore are "fake news" attacks in the vein of this bogus phone call that is in reality unconnected to the Post.

The kicker: the fake name for the person offering the money is Bernie Bernstein. They should have had him offer shekels. Wow....keep it classy gop.

The Guardian has been combing through the record of Roy Moore when he was on the Alabama Supreme Court and noted when he dissented from decisions, often appearing to prefer the testimony of the accused in rape cases, rather than the victim. In the case of the 12-year old girl, the rapist even pleaded guilty yet Mr Moore wanted more. One wonders why the Christian zealot, Moore, did not ask the rapist why he gave in to temptation instead of resisting it- is this what he would have done? Maybe the alternative was to force the rapist to marry the victim, as they sometimes do in Florida and Pakistan.

A review by the Guardian of all decisions issued by the Alabama (https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/alabama) supreme court during Moore’s second stint found decisions on 16 criminal cases that involved alleged sexual crimes. Moore sided with the offender over state prosecutors in 13 of those cases.

On 10 occasions, this meant dissenting from the majority view of the court’s nine judges. Moore sided with the state in the other three cases.

Among Moore’s 10 dissents was the case of David Pittman, who had pleaded guilty to the rape of a 12-year-old girl. Moore in September 2015 (https://acis.alabama.gov/displaydocs.cfm?no=687320&event=4GI0WKD21) said that Pittman ought to have been allowed to present evidence to court indicating that the girl had been sexually active and had a sexually transmitted disease.

“I believe this evidence could be relevant to the complaining witness’s alleged motive in accusing Pittman and that it is not barred by … the rape-shield rule,” Moore wrote in his dissent.

The grip that conservative media has on the "flyover" parts of the US is unbelievable.
In many states Sean Hannity is like....President or something.
Maybe it's the atmosphere, out in the open spaces your brain craves simplicity.

Maybe all the sex abuse revelations of late and Roy Moore will actually turn out to be a good thing if it gets that Monster Al Franken off the street.

Not the 'joke' picture I mind so much though it is tasteless and disgusting; it's Leeann Tweeden's description of his unwanted behavior during rehearsal. I don't know what it is that gets in men's heads sometimes, but it has no political boundaries.

Child molestation, which is what Roy Moore is being accused of, is another thing altogether and is truly only practiced by real monsters.

Here's a pic of Leann Tweeden from her modeling days.

When you get into the realm of things that truly need to be condemned and that includes Al's behavior, any distinction looks to some people like equivocation. But is there any room to distinguish between him and Roy Moore?

Can we comment about the difference in how both parties have responded? About how Republicans' response to Roy Moore has been to conjure up conspiracy theories about the victims and subject them to harassment, to invent a blue state reporter offering thousands of dollars for claims he promises not to vet, and to dispatch an attorney so dumb that he clearly weakens Roy Moore's already indefensible position by adding racism to the mix. Or if one points out these distinctions are they politicizing sexual assault?

Nevermind the distinctions. What Al Franken did was inexcusable.....

Compared to what when on in the dressing rooms of SNL in the seventies, I'm sure Al's little prank was pretty tame, I think the photo came from THE VICTIM herself, did he give it to her to get a laugh? But in a Congress where Republicans hold all the cards, we might see Franken and Uranium One investigations for the next year.
