Re: What are you listening to NOW?
In a little while from now,
If I'm not feeling any less sour
I promised myself to treat myself
And visit a nearby tower,
And climbing to the top,
Will throw myself off
In an effort to make it clear to who
Ever what it's like when your shattered

Re: What are you listening to NOW?
He played in London last night. Amazing concert. The most mellifluous jazz clarinet player working today. I've followed him since seeing him in a New York cub about six years ago. His take on Django Rheinhardt meets New Orleans jazz is joy inducing.
This is from an earlier gig at a tiny London club called the Quecumbar which specialises in Gypsy inflected jazz

I watched Scorsese's Shutter Island last night, the credits roll to this extraordinary song, hard to believe it was released in 1960. Dinah Washington just gets better as the years roll on.

From the 'The Fountain' soundtrack, by Clint Mansell.

Bernard Hermann - does anyone rival him when it comes to film scores?
