I will say one thing. Relationships are work. The infatuation and excitement will fade over time, but the love and the bond between yall will always be there if you work on your relationship together. Just make sure that you guys always communicate and show appreciation for one another. It can be easy to become complacent in a relationship. After years of being together it can be easy to get in a rut sexually and emotionally. Make sure that each of you is putting in 100% into building your relationship, figuring out ways to keep things lively between you two, and figuring out ways to always make sure the lines of communication are open.

Further, try to think longer term and how you two are going to accommodate each others goals and desires in life. It's easy to feel great in the short term when you are in love, but if yall have different goals in life then you 2 need to figure out how to try to fulfill those goals.

i totally missed this. we've been together since june 2010. thanks for your advice. im super analytical so i wouldnt jump into anything without severly overthinking it with my computer brain lol. we've been talking long term for a while now. We are both eager to please each other, both verrrry affectionate and or sex drives r a match. just about every aspect of us goes hand in hand. I know it sounds cheesy but the more we learn the more we believe that we were actually and literally made for each other. i usually bore of people really quick, but hes maintained my interest this long and the feelings have only grown stronger. I never knew about compromise until we got together but we both have sacrificed a LOT and continue to do so. We are very raw with our emotions and are brutally honest while still trying to avoid not saying things to purposely hurt each other. We are both very defensive and very quick to lash with the tongue, but we're both realllly good at calming each other down as well as pushing each other's buttons lol. Our arguments never last long, he usually finds me cute when im angry and laughs or jokes and puts me in a better mood, either that or he'll hold me and pulverize me with kisses til i calm down. i have my ways of dealing with him too lol.

We've been speaking long term for a while now, we've already spoken to our families about us getting married but haven't set a date. Im working now to save enough to sustain myself while i go back to college, and he will be doing his thing. We're contemplating going to cosmetology school together and opening up a barber shop/salon. We've also been considerring the restaurant business. i would still like to complete my fashion degree but the business is sooo competative. id really like one day to start my own line of clothes. Not really sure what the future holds, but i have options =) idc if we both work in macdonalds as long as we're together

Well it sounds like you 2 have a good base to start from and a much better base than me and my ex did And man I remember going back....6 months in is like the height of things when you are like sick if you have to be away from each other. Enjoy all the moments while you can.
