I didn't remain engaged for two very important reasons.

    1. I was in a four year relationship with a girl who is 9 years my junior. It was retarded to even think that marrying a 21 year old was a good move. Nobody kept me from my twenties and tying her down wouldn't have been kosher, just territorial on my part.

    2. I have lofty goals which require a fair amount of capital. In order to keep myself afloat, run a recording studio and post production house along with producing web content that isn't bush league solo crap we had to make a decision about how I was going to make my money and how just how much time that was going to eat up to do it right. There simply wasn't enough time in my plans to honor a relationship properly.

It's not who or what I am - my timing was way off for that girl. I didn't earn the relationship. I am still pouring a foundation here. When I have all my ducks in a row I can be someone for somebody but right now I have to remain alone. It's like Billy Joel said in his song, "James" - 'Do what's good for you're not good for anybody.'

By the way, the girl in question was Megan Murray - do a Google search, you'll find it wasn't the sex industry that did it. It was much more substantial than that.

    Ass.

Completely off topic but out of curiosity, Jamie, what music set-up do you use? Cubase? Logic? Sonar? DP7? Pro Tools? I'm guessing it's not Reason...

I use Reaper. Completely open source, completely free to use, completely awesome. (donations for a private license is encouraged) Some of the best minds from Sony, Protools, etc. got together to code a DAW that wasn't 80% crack protection.
They made it free to the public and update it every week. There is virtually nothing, and I mean NOTHING that it can't do in comparison to other DAWs. I've recorded albums, jingles, soundtrack work, voice over - you name it. Reaper's the one. Go get it. You'll love it.

(BTW was that 'Reason' line a jab?)

Ah, I've heard a lot of good things about Reaper - I imagine it must have split the market wide open - but I've been using Logic for the past 10 years so I'll be sticking with that.

No, the Reason line wasn't a jab at you. More a jab at the software...

yes, they are gay because they are not dating a woman but a dude who goes through drastic measures in order to resemble a women. no matter how hard you try or how pretty look, you're still a dude.

It's gay, but gayness is dependent on anatomy, as opposed to gender identity or some other factor. Most people who do it would say no, because of gender nonconformity, meaning they would say that although they had sex with a another male, that person didn't conform to their gender by displaying masculinity. But whether a person is heterosexual or homosexual they may be masculine, feminine, or androgynous. That doesn't really matter because it's not what defines sexual orientation.
