So Mr Oliver thinks every American should have the right to own Battlefield Artillery -

"I support the right of every person to defend themselves from violence and aggression. Gun control throughout our history has been used to limit the ability of vulnerable populations to defend themselves. Armed people are harder to oppress and harder to attack."

But the 2nd Amendment was ratified in 1791 when the United States was still threatened by external enemies, most obviously the British Empire, which did indeed launch another attack on the US in 1812. The Amendment thus refers to 'an armed militia' on the grounds that in the absence of the Continental Army, citizens would have the right to form a militia to defend the US. Even if you believe what the Amendment does not say, that an Individual has the fight to firearms, in 1791 the firearm most common was radically different from the kinds of gun, and bullets that are on sale today, and crucially, the 2nd Amendment was only designed to enable citizens to fight a foreign enemy, not to be used on other Americans. On this basis the 2nd Amendment is not only so irrelevant it should be repealed, but it constitutes a genuine threat to the lives of every American.

When individuals are allowed to purchase Battlefield Artillery which they then use to slaughter Americans, the concept of 'self-defence' must be understood as both A defending himself/herself from B, which with the existence of armed law enforcement is not necessary; and that when self-defence is defined as a person murdering anyone and everyone he or she believes is a threat to them, anyone and everyone can be murdered, including six year olds in a classroom, if the person with the Battlefield Artillery is convinced little children are a threat.

Chase Oliver is thus endorsing the sale of Battlefield Artillery to any American who want to buy it so that they can slaughter other Americans, which makes Mr Oliver a Grade A idiot and a candidate with no moral compass, and most obviously, a spineless coward terrified of taking on the gun lobbies to bring common sense to his country.

As for this-

" I would allow private parties, including defense contractors, to voluntarily contribute funds and sell weapons to our friends without fear of violating any Federal laws."

So Mr Oliver endorses foreign wars, just as long as the Federal Govt keeps out of it. But if individual Americans, or groups want to fund the Nazis and Fascists in Europe in the Middle East or Asia, then that's ok. As for the consequences for the US of war upon war, does trade still matter? Do any form of international relations have any substance, or is it just war, war, and more war, as Netanyahu might put it? Mr Oliver has never held public office, never known what it means to be responsible for the lives of others, about whom, as evidenced in his support for Gun terror, he doesn't care anyway.

If he gets 1 vote, that is 1 too many. But thanks for introducing this loser to someone who doesn't have a vote as I had never heard of him before, and hope I never hear of him again.
