It's strange that they made the announcement when the negotiations with their payment processors were still ongoing. Unless they wanted to stir up a reaction as a deliberate negotiating ploy - "see, if you do this we won't have much of a business and you won't make money from us".

This may end up being another case study in how to ruin a good business through poor management decisions. Even though they reversed the decision, many customers may decide to move to other platforms because they no longer trust OF.
