Onyx, Danielle is a very good friend of mine, and she doesn't lie to get attention. She doesn't have to do anything to get more attention than she wants. She had shared her past with me and a few close friends, but she doesn't advertize it. Why would she? She doesn't benefit from sharing her story here, but others and their understanding of this issue might. Teri Hatcher just came forward in a magazine about her past sexual abuse. I suppose she is a liar, just doing it to get attention too?
You started by laughing at something that was not funny, and now you are compounding that original misstep by judging others where you have no information

ONYX, U HAVE EVERY RIGHTS TO NOT WANNA BE WITH AN ESCORT..THAT IS WHAT U PREFER AND WE RESPECT THAT..WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS ON THESE ISSUES, BUT NOT AT THE EXPENSE OF U JUDGING OTHERS...WE SHOULD KNOW BY NOW, THAT NOTHING IS BLACK AND WHITE...WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT...THESE DIFFERENCES SHOULD BE EMBRACED, NOT MOCKED

We all have something to say. Don't forget that we are a family.

    I totaly agree with that.

this thread , more than any other thread show how different you are from each other , it was a great opportunity for me to read your honset opinions , with some of them I agreed , with others I didn't , but it a great forum where you ladies can show who you realy are , and many readers who only read but do not react can see that shemales are humans just like anyone else.

I hope this kind of threads will also change something in the society's opinions about shemales.

    *sorry for my bad english

Hmm...well maybe thats what your thinking...Sorry though, I dont see people as objects just to have sex with......Sex is SOO easy to get.....I could get a different girl every night if i wanted to but theres no fucking sense in that....Maybe its just an age thing, but i kicked over that kind of drive long ago.

    absolutely positevely well said jasmin......
as usual you brains turn me on even more than your exquisite beauty.
i couldnt have said it better myself, although that is just about exactly what i would have written....

and i might ad gentlemen, that as yasmin states above, it is you 'tranny-chasers' that further push these women into escorting...they are capable of falling in love like anyone else...BUT ARE YOU!!!!!!!!!

IF ALL YOU ARE GOING TO DO IS LOOK AT THEM AS A FLING AND HIDE THEM WHEN YOU DO DATE THEM.....
THEN HELL! THEY SHOULD CHARGE MEN!!!!
SO MANY OF YOU LOOK AT THEM AS ONLY AN OBJECT, SO WHY BOTHER!

HAND THE OBJECT YOUR MONEY, DO YOUR THING, AND GO BACK HOME TO YOUR STRAIGHT STUPID LIFE.....

WHO KNOWS...YOU MIGHT HAVE JUST LEFT THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE....THAT IS IF YOU SAW HER AS A PERSON AND NOT AN OBJECT..................

Default escorts versus non-escorts -- BUMP

    BUMP!

So I was wandering through the old archives. This thread came up when I searched for "love AND ltr" and... wow.

I don't really have anything to add. I stayed away from sex work... and a job as a therapist... and a job with the police... all for the same reason. I think all those professions can potentially be admirable and rewarding, but I was afraid of exposing myself to lots of people every day for years in the moments they hide from the world rather than those that they're proud of. Plus (I realize more every day) I was just incredibly lucky and sheltered to grow up with rich and liberal parents (like, they paid for both my surgeries and thereby helped me avoid all kinds of tough choices).

Anyway, I just thought this thread was incredibly honest and maybe other people would also get get something out of seeing it, or seeing it again.

The problem with any kind of study to try and find out how
many TS are in porn/escorting and how many have "straight"
jobs is that most of the girls with 9/5 jobs are basically stealth
and aren't connected to the rest of the TS world. For Yasmin
Lee to say that most of the girls that she knows are escorts
just means that, that she mostly socializes with other escorts.
That doesn't mean at all that most TS are escorts. Of the
TS women that I know fairly well, half a dozen, none of them
    are escorts.

It IS hard for TS to break through the barriers and get a
"normal" job but it's not impossible. I think the problem is that
if you are debating between getting $300 for an hours work
or getting $10/hr it's a tough decision. Only girls that totally
reject porn/escorting as a possibility are going to then have
the perserverance to get a job, maybe below their skill level,
    in the "straight" world.

I had to take a job as a busgirl at a restaurant when I moved
here to NYC when a year before I had been program director
for a rehabilitation program for children with special needs.
It was quite the step down but you do what you have to do.

    Default I work with computers

I work with computers and therefore make my own hours and such and don't have to worry about a 9 to 5 job, and prejudices that may be encountered. I'n my small town everyone is just happy I'm there to fix their computers.
