I have heard from several tgirls that one must put the Armor on before entering as there will be arrows and daggers.

But that's the internet is general. In my experience there are three groups of people on the internet:
Group 1 are folks who behave with civility and respect just like they would in real life.
Group 2 are folks who, because of the disassociate nature of the computer screen act like jerks on-line because it doesn't seem real to them.
Group 3 are just assholes in general.

Sadly Group 3 is ever expanding, nurtured by the crude examples of Group 2. Some of them even go as far as becoming presidential candidate with it, can you believe that?

I'm glad this thread was started. I've been coming to this site for years, but rarely post as I generally keep my thoughts to myself. It's given me a lot of valuable insight into the thoughts and lives of trans ladies and has exposed me to others' perspectives. It is, however, becoming more and more difficult to sift through the juvenile rantings and fantasies to find some beneficial conversation, the result being what used to be a once- or twice-a-day visit is now an almost begrudging once-a-week view (and I usually leave more empty-handed, metaphorically speaking, than when I arrived).

While I'm all for free speech, the idea behind that "right" is that adults have the ability to govern themselves appropriately in a public forum. It's probably naive and hopelessly optimistic, but at least it sets a high bar for humanity. Credit to the mods who do a fine job as bouncers when things go way out of bounds, but, on HA, any conception of tact and decorum seems to get checked at the door when a lot of people log in here and that, of course, is directed by the individuals and broader community. In general, it seems to be more of an anonymous confessional for impulsively blurting out your basest pent-up feelings, so, of course, there's not going to be much profound conversation to spring forth from that. If anything, it's actually helped me understand the level of crude, embarrassing behavior which women have complained about since the dawn of time. I can't tell whether some guys just weren't raised to respect others or if people just feel like trans women don't fall under the same umbrella as GG's when it comes to appropriate conversation, but that's another topic.

The majority of the "General Discussion" here is overrun by "Whose kneecaps would you fuck?!?!? Post your pics here!!!", "12 1/2-inch dingalings hanging out of scuba suits!!" and "I wanna fuck TS Lola Longlollipop! Who's with me?" What should be given some consideration is dividing the forums up a little more like what's done on freeones. They have areas for "Niche/Fetish" where you can dissect and compartmentalize to your heart's content and they also have a star-specific section for threads dedicated to just one lady. These areas are generally photo-heavy with plenty of lustful worship and limited actual "discussion". Judging by the amount of traffic that occurs on here in one day, I think breaking GD into three separate arenas would still be sustainable and maybe we could have areas where some actual lively, thoughtful discussion is appropriate and encouraged while other areas could be the little masturbatory hideaways they need to be.

I look at the limited amount of posts on the TER board and find quality there, probably because the few posters steer the discussion on there by clamping down on the immaturity pretty quickly (that's the side effect of actually interacting with these ladies and not just objectifying from a distance, I'm guessing, as well as the fact that those of us that hobby tend to be older). The upside to that is there are some very smart, witty and honest girls on there who bring genuine thoughtfulness and fun to the conversation. I don't think any of those girls post here and probably for a reason. Wendy, Christian and others go out of their way to make this community fun, personal and entertaining in its own right as a more porn-centric forum, but it takes real effort to look for those posts through the knuckle-dragger comments.

Again, moderating is needed to control on some level, but consider better-defined sections so that General Discussion isn't so much of a willy-nilly free-for-all.

That's my 2 cents (1.39 pence for the Brits).
