Don't forget that you can subtract one drink or beer for each hour you spend at the party or whatever, so a guy of average weight could drink 6 beers at a three hour afternoon BBQ and still be OK driving home.
Coffee will not effect your BAC or reaction time, but I believe a wide awake drunk is better than a sleepy one.

I have to admit that I am a functional alcoholic and drink every day. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about my family and friends and what I have done wrong by them. Because I drink every day and live in a rural community I end up driving under the influence almost every day.

A taxi is 76 dollars round trip from my house to the liquor store, it only cost me 8 dollars round trip in my old pick up.
