Two films by Eric Rohmer -La Femme de l'aviateur (1981) and L'ami de mon amie (1987). Some people can't stand Rohmer's films because it appears to be people chatting for ever about their relationships or perfect idea of one, yet part of the secret to Rohmer is that people often say one thing and do another, while he often plays with colours and settings to offer a commentary, sometimes a contradiction of what the people are doing and thinking; he also uses the most exquisitely beautiful French women.

After Porn Ends.... Quite interesting. And you, or I, sympathize with Asia Carrera (who lost her husband in a car accident) Houston, Crissy Moran, Amber Lynn (she lost her brother).
    It's an interesting documentary.

Sadly it was "Billy Elliott" a british film made in 2000 about a northern working class lad who wants to be a ballet dancer - against the grain of his working class mining family. Full of stereotypes and hugely sentimental but for all that it was moderately okay in a schmaltzy sort of way.

    World War Z

Recently I've felt that the whole zombie genre of video games and movies has been done to death (no pun intended)already and was skeptical to watch this one.

It was not bad in the way it was presented, and it could actually benefit from a sequel/prequel but not a whole 3 or 4 movie series. First zombie movie I actually like in a long time.

If the french series The Returned screens in the US I strongly commend it to you all. It is the freshest take on zombies you'll ever encounter.

The Untouchables....a true classic of American cinema, pacy, engaging, great plot, superb acting, fine direction and an ace score. (Sure it took liberties with the truth, but so did Shakespeare, and for the same reasons.)

Must be 10 years since I last watched it, the return was wll worth it
