Re: What are you listening to NOW?
He's done some great live albums over the years but Live Rust tops them all for me.
I've tried Hey Hey My My/My My Hey Hey as an acoustic solo number a while back and it really works. So does a lot of Springsteen.
Speaking of whom....
Best live performer ever. And this song. Fuck. I want it played at my funeral.
But pleasures are like poppies spread
You seize the flow'r, the bloom is shed

Re: What are you listening to NOW?
I'd want to hear this from JC on my way through the curtains. The American Recordings are a monumental tribute to one of the few genuine icons.
In the meantime, here's a good friend of mine, Martyn Joseph, who lots of people call the Welsh Springsteen for good reason - the same passion, although usually on acoustic. I urge all Americans to listen to the lyrics on this song. It's up there with Paul Simon's great trilogy - America, American Tune and Graceland. When Martyn writes about America it's like listening to Steinbeck with a guitar. Fabulous guy and a very supportive friend. He tours the USA every year. Catch a gig and you won't regret it.

Tyrannosaurus Wrecks, you know. It could be painful.
Just don't get pregnant.
