Whoops, my bad. But it is a really good film, worth seeking out. Colin Farrell has never been better before or since, and Brendan Gleeson is simply magnificent. But the star is undoubtedly Bruges itself.

Hi barbie, did you like Manhattan? I enjoyed it but if I remember I liked Annie Hall a bit better.

My favorite Woody Allen movies are not the same ones many like. For instance I did not enjoy Crimes and Misdemeanors. I liked some of his earlier films where I thought he was playing it mostly for laughs. Love and Death. Take the Money and Run. I have strange taste in movies though.

I'd agree that he has made some wonderful films. But they've become increasingly patchy since his heyday.

Prospero, I can think of a recent Woody Allen film that wasn't spotty. Whatever Works. IMO it was bad from start to finish. I say this as a fan. But usually I find something I like even if I realize the movie isn't so good as a coherent whole.
