Did you see the Sarina video that people are referring to? That video was a little suspicious to some people and with this coming only a week later, there was bound to be a bit of suspicion.

You've also got to bear in mind that a number of girls within the industry tend to be pretty negative towards their fans, calling them chasers, faggots and bitching about the fans only being interested in them for their cock. There's also a lot of "I'm a successful pornstar" trumpeting around, but suddenly when someone breaks their iPhone, needs tits, or whatever then the fans are the first port of call for donations. So again, you can't expect everyone to jump up and down in excitement to part with their hard earned cash. Obviously not every ts star is like that, but there are a number and it does grate on people, especially as there's been a lot of it recently (I'm not going to cite specific examples as to avoid bringing up old shit).

I'm not aiming any of this at the girls in this incident and I'm very glad they are all safe.

RE: Sarina - Yes, I saw the video, read the threads, read the timeline, etc. and etc. ad nauseam... A very different incident in my mind.

This really isn't a thread about me so I'm not going to interject myself into it for a lengthy debate. The fact of the matter is this...

I don't really see any 'begging' going on here. More of a 'this-is-what-happened-help-if-you-can' thing... Pretty concisely put if you ask me. There are a few choices to the reader.

Be a human being and offer some condolences for something that is terrible.

Donate.

Don't donate.

Besides those, I just don't see the point in making light of it. Seriously, just imagine if you had just gone through a similar situation (and FYI - I have been robbed at knife-point working at a convenience store way back when). If you are skeptical of the situation, then don't donate... it's that easy, no?

OK, sure... if cynical means doubting someone who's come here with their hand out repeatedly in the very recent past, then I guess I'm cynical. At least I'm not naive. ~BB~

So we should judge Jamie on doing what just about EVERY other TS in porn does... (i.e. - having a wishlist, marketing it, and asking FANS to help out)? Yeah, that makes sense.

As for being naive... It isn't naive to have some compassion for people every once in a while. It is being human. Naive would be if I immediately ran to the ATM every time someone I didn't know asked for money... which, last time I checked, my checking account is doing just fine and the causes, charities, and etc. that I donate to are appropriately vetted.

I've met Jamie personally and quite frankly, she is a pretty independent person that works hard to attain a level of success in her life that she is comfortable with. I sincerely doubt that she would make this up just for kicks and giggles. Just not her personality. The other girls I don't know, although I met Tiffany once.

With a "donation" link in her signature, asking for rent help just seems over the top. I am glad no one was hurt though.

If $550 was taken, and was supposed to be used for rent, I imagine that there is more money around, I don't believe for a minute that was the last $550 the three ladies have. People usually ask for help when they don't have any other outs. If you have the money, then you have options, to ask for help in those situations makes it known that you don't have any concern for the people that would be helping you.
