A neighborhood watch patrol struck again in Sanford today. two black thugs beat a fifty year old white man nearly to death with hammers. This on top of the two-man neighborhood watch patrol that shot and killed two drunk British tourists who were lost and walked into their hood. The shooter was sentenced to life WOP last week.

Did any of you people hear anything in the press about either case...I doubt it.

Maybe read her post again. There's a paragraph break between her expierence on the gated communities she lived in and her assessment of feeling disenfranchised and the reasons for that. I took those to be 2 separate thoughts....maybe you didn't..........who cares? Why don't you comment on her thesis instead of commenting on my response? The voice heard crying for help on a 911 call just before Trayvon Martin was shot to death was not that of George Zimmerman, according to two forensic voice identification experts, one of whom told MSNBC on Sunday that he believes the evidence is strong enough to use in court.

"The tests concluded that it's not the voice of Mr. Zimmerman," Tom Owen, of Owen Forensic Services LLC and chair emeritus for the American Board of Recorded Evidence, told MSNBC.
Asked if he thought such tests would be admissible in court, Owen said "yes" and noted he had recently used similar testing in testimony at a Connecticut murder case that involved 911 call.
The conclusions of Owen and another audio expert were first reported by the Orlando Sentinel on Saturday.
Zimmerman told police that he screamed for help during his confrontation with Martin, 17. He claims the shooting was self-defense.
The 911 call, reposted in this YouTube clip, came on the night of Feb. 26 from a woman who reported someone crying out for help in a gated community in Sanford, Fla.
In the recording of her phone call, panicked cries and a gunshot are heard.

My argument in here has nothing to do with rich vs poor, any other lame attemppt at political interjection to change the subject, forensics, or racial profiling. I'm just trying to clarify the distinction between defense & aggression. That distinction's getting blurred more & more. It's obvious just by reading this thread. I don't want to see a time where self preservation ceases to be a viable defense. That's where we're headed with all this silliness. We're creating an amoral society in the name of political expedience. That's unacceptable.

As for "faith in the system", that went out the window a while ago. At least as far as this case is concerned. This incident happened a month ago or more. The local authorities had already shrugged it off. If the parents hadn't managed to turn this into a national cause celeb, that's where it would have stayed. It's hard to fault them for being pissed off. Sometimes this is what it takes to get the system to do its job.

Now I have a questioon on the details of the altercation. I've obnly heard pieces of the 911 recording, but it would seem that the phone was on throughout the whole incident, right up through the cries for help. How about the gunshots? Were they recorded? If so, what was the duration between them?

The incident involving the two British tourists was of course widely covered here, the person responsible for the shooting, Shawn Tyson, was not part of a neighbourhood watch team but a 16-year old who had already been involved in a shooting incident and was only out of custody because of a foul-up in the Florida/Sarasota court system. Tyson acted alone but after boasting about what he had done, a friend of his testified against him in court.

Thw curious thing about yourdaddy's post, is that even when the facts, not disputed, are presented in court, we still get distortions, like the idea there were two people, it was a neighbourhgood watch team -what hope is there for 'the truth' about the Zimmerman-Martin case? One shot? Two Shots? A attacked B, B attacked A, and so on. Maybe it will never end, like the Kennedy Assassination, or who did kill Edina Watkins?
