DJAsia, a freelance photographer was told that by one of the girls and passed the message on. Jimbo just said she was back home and none of the girls knew anything. Many of the girls homes are well away from cellphone masts. Eventually Ming reappeared safe and well, it was another "Ming" who had been killed. (RIP)
No fault by DJAsia, he just passed on what he had been told. In his position I would have done the same; to try to tease out more info.
