Florida Cops

So I needed help I was soaking wet w/sea water in barely any clothes. I called the police. They gave me a ride to my hotel so I could get my things but I said something sassy and 4 of them pinned me down & cuffed me. They took me to a jail to put me in a drunk tank for the night.

None of it bothered me much except for being processed. Like 8 of them laughing at me & making he/she jokes & staring at me. And them taking off my jewelry and not giving it all back later. That's what REALLY bothered me.

Probably not necessary to post this but oh well I'm venting alil.

That's not unusual. Good thing you didn't have a lot of cash on you--they might have accused you of money laundering or planning to buy drugs with it and seized it.

My criminal investigator senses are tingling...lots of connections missing as to how you began this "ordeal at the sea." But the cop behavior in the holding tank is consistent with most LE, if not expected. LE rarely seeks to understand, only exercise control...

I'd have to echo others concerns as to the legitimacy of this story.

Excellent comment. Some more background would have been helpful to understand how/why Michelle was soaked with sea water, etc. That would help us understand what happened. But having known a few police officers on a friendly basis, here in the supposedly non-redneck Northeastern U.S., I can attest that nearly all of them don't have the most pleasant attitudes toward people who seem at all different, to say the least. Not exactly LGBT allies in any way, shape, or form! And I know a few of them that after a few beers, if they thought you were "on their side" just loved to brag about creating situations where they got to throw their weight around. Especially against blacks or young men. Including beatings, chokeholds, etc. I am a law abiding person, (except for the occasional escort visit), but I think twice before I call the police, unless it is necessary due to someone injured, or a motor vehicle accident or something having been stolen requiring a report for insurance, etc.

We are not a police state, but the rights that the Constitution says we have can be violated easily enough by the powers that be unless you have legal expertise. Lawyers cost money. And they only give public defenders to people who are practically destitute. Maybe in a courtroom you have some rights, but on the street you really don't. I sincerely hope I do not come across as a "cop hater" type, but some of the towns I have lived in, and the police I have known have made me a little cynical. (Not that they ever seriously mistreated me or anything.)

I was physically attacked by my psychotic big sister last week (she was coming down off drugs and she also looked 10 years older than she really is :) ) - the police were called, and its funny how quickly one of the cops immediately changed his pronouns (from her to him) once my sister told him "don't let her fool you, she's got a dick!" it's unfortunate that many trans people are treated poorly on the state level - its really barbaric the way some people behave. Nonetheless the Obama administration has made many improvements on the federal level for trans equality, which I would hope would be a paving stone for the rest of the country to follow, the TSA and passport office alone leads a good example on the treatment with trans people and they understand to be discrete in how they ask questions and using proper pronouns.

I learned to be scared of cops when six of them jumped me and broke my kneecap arresting me a couple (maybe few) years ago.

I mean, yes, I was standing in the street in my panties throwing ridiculous insults at them, but still, six cops are not required to arrest me.

These days I just play blonde as fuck when I deal with them.

Do most Tgirls ask for individual screening at airports? If someone will educate me: am I correct in understanding that some states are allowing you to change gender on your DL and birth certificate without SRS?

If so how does that work if your License or passport says female but you have a penis going through the phone booth thing

Y'know, when I'm well-behaved, I've had good interactions with some, mostly the younger ones who haven't become too cynical. You can tell them by the shiny new body armor and super white nametapes

A few weeks ago we had some come by the house, and I could tell the new guys because they were the ones actually listening to me and looking at me like a person instead of a suspect. This one really good looking tall black officer seemed sympathetic, but he wasn't the official, like, officer taking the call, so it didn't matter. This other skinny kid was actually taking notes in a little notebook.

The other four officers were pretty much cookie cutter blue curtain, putting on the Oakley gloves for intimidation, pissed off I wouldn't tell them where my friend whom they actually got the call about was. I have this nice way of completely ignoring people while looking right at them so they're not sure if they actually said their last sentence out loud.

This time they just gave me a $75 ticket for "loud noise", which I've requested a hearing for, because a.) It was before the eleven o' clock noise ordinance started and they certainly don't come for the construction across the street that's taking forever or the asshole who mows his lawn with a weed whacker at seven in the morning b.) He got my zipcode wrong (how the fuck are these guys gonna stick me for my weekly meat budget without knowing what hood they're in?) c.) He wrote the date as September. I was in the military and we were held to some pretty strict standards. I don't think I should expect less of my civil servants.

I'm actually probably just gonna pay that at the hearing, though. If I'd woken up sober, I probably wouldn't have marched that ticket down to city hall first thing in the morning. I'm not trying to get them too interested in me because the last person I want to meet is a vice detective. I think they tend to be disinterested in TS escorts though (especially, I hate to say it, white ones) because they'd just rather not deal with us, and we're a logistical bitch in lockup.

I have this pet daydream that whomever they have looking at bp ads thinks I seem like a sweetheart, and wishes nothing but the best for me.
