i'll sum up. there are some transwomen that feel quite content with their penis and others that would like to complete the transformation when the time is right. For those in the sex/porn industry, they may exploit their genitalia until they feel they are ready and that has nothing to do with their fans or how they are perceived in the industry. To answer the question a bit further than some of the excellent answers here, there is a big thread on the quality of the post op operation. While it is apparently much better than it was before, the end resuts for the operation aren't perfect. This has been an influence on the decision to have it done.

I'm an MTF transsexual, and I plan on keeping my penis as a) the inversion surgery is really, really painful, with a lot of post-op maintenance, b) really, really expensive, with a LOT to go wrong, c) I like peeing standing, d) nobody cares what's between your legs, and most importantly e) I don't need a pussy to be a girl.

i'm curious proto, hypothetically, if the procedure didnt have all the problems you mentioned, would you go through with?

Quiet Reflections i live in north africa in one of the most homophobic places on the planet. as far as i know there are no doctors here who perform gender reassignment surgery (that is what it's called right?). and even if there were, the amount of discrimination a tg person would endure...i wouldnt wish it on anyone.

anyway, the reason i asked this question is because i want to know if there are many women out there who are perfectly content with having a penis, and would choose it over having a vagina. i'm not getting the sense that such women are very common

I find "removing their junk" an offensive way of saying SRS.
I know girls who had it done and I've stayed friends with them. But honestly, the sex thing doesn't work for me once they're post-op.

I can pretty much agree with what MsDazzler has said. I have been on hrt for over a year. I am permanently limp and what I do have has shrunk a lot. I have posted pics of this here previously.
