Oh we all have our moments of shame. Our lifestyle peeps hate O'Reilly and get some form of perverted pleasure off this clip, it's been around forever.
I personally like the guy a lot, and FOX in general. So many of us won't give the other side a chance because we want to shove our lifestyle down general societies throats. Personally I don't, just want to be left alone, and I am.
So we vote away our lives and souls over ONE issue, and make a mockery of all the good principles our nation was founded on. We like to hide behind "freedom" and the constutution when in fact we won't give the other side even a 1% concession to themselves be free and not have certain lifestyle issues officially addressed by our educational system and government, taught to their children etc...
I take it you are a marine rite?
I don't want to jam my lifestyle down anyone's throat either. I just want to be accepted. O'Reilly and the rest of the gang at Fox "news" don't want us to be accepted. We are a plural nation, but O'Reilly and gang insist we are a Christian nation and that our laws should reflect Fox's own fundamentalist brand of intolerance.

Dude, you just made an ass-clown of yourself. The fixed News Channel is not actually news. It is corporate BS used to sell and dish out propaganda to ignorant and mindless tools, or the elderly. Who owns it, bro?
Judging From what some people say, you'd think that FOX was the only News channel with a bias.Quote:

You don’t see that degree of bias anywhere except on the station that advertises itself as “fair and balanced.” The sheer bald-faced hypocrisy of Fox is too much to endure. Chris and Keith are certainly unabashedly liberal, but at least those two assholes have a tolerant vision of society. I can’t help but feeling that one who is both a devoted follower of Fox “news” and regular visitor to HA is someone who would like[] to screw the girls up the ass, literally and figuratively.

I agree. I have conservative religious friends in the community...and that strikes me as odd. Supporting the people would deny you a number of rights. Kinda mixed up.Quote:

Dag! I was hoping for a new freak out, this has been around for a while. Also, there is no left or right. It is an outdated and inaccurate way of looking at issues. It only serves "the man's" drive to keep the populous divided against each other. FOX news is in fact a fascist propoganda outlet. Nothing more, nothing less.
There's the PBS News Hour which is neither liberal nor conservative. As often as possible they will simultaneously interview two or more experts (not professional pundits) on various opposing sides of an issue. The conversation is pointed, but the moderator keeps it focused and civil.
I know conservatives (who rarely watch it) have the impression the New Hour is liberal simply because it's partially (or at least was) government funded. But then it seems of lot conservatives who rank the media think that any analysis that isn't 100% conservative is liberal. Hell, they think Obama's a socialist!!!
Up here it's CBC that I watch. It is a public network...so they shouldn't be biased. I always wondered how that was possible considering it's the federal government is funding it. But in general their stories are insightful and thought-provoking.
I use to watch that wit my parents as a kid and well it did seem to be a bit on the boring side lol. But I loved that theme song.Quote:

Like I said, conservatives have the impression the News Hour is liberal. But then again, they think Fox is fair and balanced, Obama's a socialist, muslim terrorist and any show that allows a democratic guest to speak without interruption is bleeding heart liberal.
it's ridiculous how brainwashed the mainstream media has the average person into believing they call it down the middle, while Fox is somehow so biased...ALL mainstream media is biased, and the majority of the bias comes from the Left...
Fox might be slanted farther right than the others slant left, but the left slanters are in higher numbers...
I don't think PBS should be entitled to tax payer money. If they can't survive on their own dime.... then fuck em.
They suck anyway.
the people have been propogandized it's true. but this post is a good example. The truth is almost all media has a proto-fascist, or "right" of center tilt to it. It only seems like it is a left or liberal bent, because FOX and Rush and the less than 1% of the populous that is indoctrinated by their drivel and talking points is so far out of touch with anything remotely close to reality. Remember, all the news you get on TV is in fact brought to you by 5 huge, multinational corporations. You will get only the information they want you to hear/know. Gotta keep the cattle moving toward the slaughterhouse you know. Work, work, work so you can continue to consume shit you don't really need. Anything that might upset the herd will be silenced and or ignored.Quote:

Has there ever been anything like the, "terrorist fist jab" incident on the News Hour? No. Has Jim Lehrer, or any other reporter for the News Hour, endorsed a candidate on the air? No. Has Jim Lehrer, or any other reporter for the News Hour, taken sides on a issue while on the air? No. The American people have a right to a public news outlet whose government funding prevents it from being to far skewed in any direction. It's a better buy for your dime than any tax dollar blown on the Iraq War.
my favorite program of talking heads is Morning Joe, that program is as "fair and balanced" as I've seen in the mainstream...and that is on the same network that proudly brings you Keith Olberman, who is just as bad for the Left as Rush or Hannity is for the right...I'd love to hear anyone argue a case for Olberman being fair...Quote:

It's uncanny how much what trish said is what I was thinking of saying. I agree completely with her.
O'Reilly was one of the pioneers of opinion-oriented TV news shows. Even a liberal like me admits he's very good at it. I try to watch O'Reilly to understand the conservative angle, but it's frustrating because there is little depth to the discussions. Guests who disagree with him have a hard time because O'Reilly is perfect for that show's format -- quick-thinking, well-prepared, intimidating, and bullying. He attacks using simple ideas that can be expessed in few words -- a "sound-bite" style -- and he supresses in-depth discussion by giving his guests little time to respond, the excuse being the constraint of a TV format. I find especially funny like how he ends an interview often by saying "I'll give you the last word" and then shouts down his guest and interjects his opinions anyway. It's amusing to imagine arguing with him, but you'd better have a good skill at that discussion format. He certainly does.
shouting down or over someone, bullying and then finally editing out any valid points that have been made hardly constitutes a "discussion format" Bullying is not in fact a skill. O'Reilly is not in fact a conservative. Just a self important blowhard trying to whip up outrage and enflame the divisions in the American populous. Fucking A scumbag.Quote:
