why would you disagree with the apeal, i have read teh news reports and from what i can find she had the gun for self defence and then there was an argument outside the club. the shooting was an accident and she was not even the one that pulled the trigger, i don't see how any sensable judge could have set her up for 45 years.Quote:

The unfortunate thing with the whole thing is that the major point of evidence is that given by the person who Boots claimed was the actual aggressor. The same girl who may of already tried to have her killed nce and who by the documents had residue on her hands. Thats where I see the doubt as the psychotic drug feuled girl who has since passed away is presented in a very innocent light in those docs but most accounts you see seem to indicate that both girls were going at each other.Quote:

I carry a firearm for self defense and I assure you it is something I don't take lightly. I'm a competitive shooter and practice regularly, and the only time my weapon would leave the holster is if I was in imminent fear of death or bodily harm.
Choosing to carry a firearm is something that requires me to act in public with perfect decorum, and avoid moronic street fights over stupid reasons. I have nothing to prove by getting into conflicts with street trash, I'm carrying a lethal instrument that's perfectly capable of taking their life, what do I have to prove by getting into a fistfight?
With that said, A firearm is useless with out the proper training and mindset. 90% of staying out of trouble depends on your situational awareness and defensive mindset, if you don't have a proper mindset and respect of your responsibility as a gunowner, then you'd be better off leaving it at home.
the tl;dr of carrying a gun is that you've just got to be willing to let insults and the like slide off your back, and walk away from shit like that. Don't escalate the situation by drawing your weapon, for example if I have to draw my weapon it's because I've already made the decision that my life is in danger and someone is about to get shot .5 of a second later.

Amador was the aggressor and Ornelas would still be alive today had Amador not threatened Sylvia. Sylvia would not have reached for her gun had Amador left Sylvia alone. Too bad our criminal justice system doesn't take into account who the instigator was.

this whole thing happened because the police failed to do there job, TO PROTECT AND SERVE. They ignored everything that happened before hand because it was just 2 TS's. If it were 2 GG there would have been a better investigation of the previous assaults and most likely someone would have been arrested. If you were in Sylvia's shoes would you have just let this girl keep trying to kill you? I think not, it shouldn't have been murder, I think it was manslaughter at the most. The sentience was too sever but she still should have gone to jail. Just think this is one of the first celebrity's LA has ever convicted and it was for the wrong thing.
Just let her go already. I mean if bitches like Brittany,Lindsay,and Paris can get away with murder then why not Sylvia.
In California, you bring a gun, pull out gun, and someone gets shot and dies, you go to jail. Doesn't really matter the circumstances it seems.
