Re: What is The Last Movie You Watched?
The latest movie I watched was a danish movie (short film) caled "Ladyboy" in which I worked as an extra.
But before that, the latest movie I watched, was the greek movie "Strella" (or "A Woman's Way") from 2009. it is one of the most breathtaking movie I have seen. I was very touched when I left the theater. In more ways than one.

Heather - I'm impressed you saw "Strella" I didn't realise it had gotten any release outside of Greece. it's a great and very moving and positive film isn't it. I loved it.

Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers!!! Battle for Helms Deep, one of the best battles in the modern movie era
Re: What is The Last Movie You Watched?
Sorry Stavros, I misunderestimated you. A 23 hour film about collective farms in Hungary with no tractors. Sounds way more exciting. I guess it sort of fits in with Transformers.
Tractors in films...there is a PhD topic in there somewhere -and no I don't intend to spend three years if my life doing it. And I now challenge you to watch Satantango, preferably over a wet weekend- it rains for most of the 7+ hours so that would help with the atmosphere... At least try Tarr's Werckmeister Harmonies.
re: Transformers: Is there a genre for fims with robots that isn't 'science fiction' or 'science fantasy'? I am trying to think back and I wonder if Frankenstein was the first 'robot'? Fritz Lang's Metropolis might have the first robot in film, not sure, but its the quantum leap in technology and the games industry that seems to have given robots a bigger profile in films. Doesn't make the films watchable.
Saw The Sum of All Fears last night, at times hysterically funny at other times just hysterical, but well-made for a film of that type and well acted too except for another daft accent: Ciaran Hinds pretending to be Rasshun, Alan Bates -a fine, dignified actor- viff a klotted kreme German akzent...not sure how the people of Baltimore felt when their city was obliterated. At least we will always have The Wire to remind us of it.

Last Exit to Brooklyn.
I enjoyed it but there is a lot more that I would like to know! I guess I will have to read the book!:wiggle::wiggle::wiggle:

And to get the atmosphere right, Prospero, you'll need some very basic goulash and the scent of wet cows. :)
