I finally got around to replacing my vinyl copy of Graceland. One of THE 80s albums and arguably Paul Simon's finest. IMO nobody has ever captured the yearning for the elusive American dream quite as well as he did with his trilogy of songs spread over nearly 20 years - America, American Tune and finally Graceland.

I haven't forgiven them yet for what they did to Blackwaterside. Here's what to my mind is the purest of the many versions, Anne Briggs from 1971 - this was the version that inspired most of the others.
