Yup, thats America for you. When I went to Colombia last year I saw how totally different it is compared to over here. I was in a club with a lady-friend and a bunch of local black men came up and started talking to us and I eventually explained how culturally different it is over here. They couldn't believe their ears when I told them that we would consider them gangsters and their women prostitutes solely on the way they dressed.

They were very nice tho, and they took it well, they even bought us a round of drinks. The dude I was talking to wanted to dance with my lady friend and I said, "hell yeah" and he let me dance with his sis.

Even sexuality is a lot more relaxed over there, when we were talking girls would stand around kissing and feeling up as it would be on whoever was involved in the conversation. At one point my leg rubbed up against the black gentleman's leg and instead of getting pissed off, like I would expect over here, he laughed and dismissed it. Anyway the hispanics (who all pretty much look caucasian in Colombia) get along very well with the black folks. To them the only group of people they strongly disapprove of is Americans and Taxi drivers.

Why do some white people think its ok to be racist? Cuz they're stupid! :wink:

Speaking as a black male, it's not as easy as "just get over it." Things are setup in a way that makes it harder for minorities to get ahead. This cannot be argued, it's fact. I don't go around constantly playing the race card or anything, but I always laugh when I see someone make that statement.
