Ref UK Punting discussion above:
Compare with cybercrime and the Lauri Love saga (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lauri_Love he hacked a US computer from the UK US and they tried to extradite him to US). Thus UK Punting could be entrapped to offer services of a sex trafficked person in US, and may lead to US civil action.
Need to read the exact wording, since by enabling civil action it may not lead to a criminal / extraditable offence against a non US website operator. Although such operator would not be able to set foot in the US.
This really is one of those idiotic cases where the lawyers will sit down on Monday and go W.T.F. does this mean? I think a main route to sanity will be when someone tries to sue Google, Facebook, Twitter etc for negligently putting up a link or web page for something involving a trafficked sex worker.
This may take years to blow over. Sadly as many others have pointed out there will be no place for free speech to call out scammers, fraudsters, robbers; and possibly even to advertise.
You can thank yourself - or your friends and politicians who voted in the current administration.
It passed by a fucking 97-2 vote. For you to try to make this a partisan thing about the current administration when there's no fucking way Trump could get 97 senators to vote on anything in unison is mind boggling.
This sucks. Well if anyone knows any alternatives or a new site gets set set up would appreciate a pm, cheers guys
Just been reading up on history of US Prostitution law. Fascinating story. Used to be almost totally legal before 1900,then regulation started in 1910 with inter state sex trafficking. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mann_Act
Interesting read for us in UK where prostitution as-such is legal (except brothels, streetwalking/soliciting and a couple of other nuances).
Introduced by Republican Rob Portman (R-OH), co-sponsored by 43 fellow Republicans (including former Presidential candidates John McCain, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio) and 27 Democrats (including potential Presidential candidates Amy Klobuchar, Sherrod Brown, Tammy Duckworth, Kamala Harris, and Chris Murphy). It passed the House 388-25 and the Senate 97-2 (Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Rand Paul (R-KY) were the only to oppose). So both.
I'm glad that action against sex trafficking is being taken, but this particular bill seems misguided.
I'm particularly sad about Craiglist. That has been a great resource for both hookups and dating over the years.
This is truly a damn shame and an end of an era! id like to thank everyone for their reviews and experiences especially those in the NJ thread...flabby,smithken,cdale,longislandoc,danima l, new guy antoncarrera (whos reviews i was really looking forward to) and everyone else who has made our personal experiences a lot safer, better and more informative. lets all hope this will be temporary.. for all NJ enthusiasts im willing to share experiences via private messaging just hmu!
be safe out there!
Maybe its possible to made a new website or a separate one registered somewhere in EU ? where this US wankers will not be able to get their hands on !!!The review section can be reopened but through the new link: I have some nice domains what I can offer for free + Im ready to make some donation to help in that case. I think everyone have to think about it and to find a real way how to support the community - cos we are a huge community round the world ((( Its lots of websites where u can find a review section but nothing the same as hungangels. I believe on this forum we can find a Lawyer and many other guys who can give a real advice and to help solve the issue . Its not a good deal if everyone will run away at this hour.
Cmon guys - don't be silent - I think its a good time to pay back to Steve and to close ranks . Why we have to shut up because of someone from US.
We have to grow up and think about our security .
All real deals and advice its better to txt in private to Steve. I believe its possible to find a way how to legally get round the low.
Xxx
wow it really is a shame.. I want to thank everyone who contributed to the NJ section. Hopefully an alternative msg board will arise somewhere/somehow.
I have a few in mind that I think will be good, however I'm not comfortable with promoting another forum through this one.
I love this site and just because that section is gone doesn't mean Ill stop visiting here :)
Be interesting to see how the next "Women's Marches" handle this...
