I have been able to avoid it... but I think its horrible. happened to a lot of Tgirlfriends of mine. I kept my ears open and listened very carefully to them and tried to make sure it never happened to me.

I remember at first being so dissapointed to hear it and even kind of upset. But I had to take this for real.

Also you are right about dating heterosexual men. Its not that easy. Especially for him... cause he has to give up his heterosexual identity to the outside world. It actually makes ME feel very bad for those guys.

Kitty, great post! I've never understood the TW with the "Prince Charming" mentality, thinking their going to meet a man who has no experience with TW and will bet totally ok with it. The questions of his own sexuality are surely going to come out. The shame, anger and guilt will cause all kinds of crazy behavior.
As far as trans-women who live in denial, those who are ashamed or get angry because you know they are trans and get angry about it - I have zero tolerance with them. If a TW isn't ok with herself; how the hell is she going to be ok with me being into her. SMH

Interesting, you're Filipino! You are right since the Philippines were a colony of Spain. One of my favorite professors was from the Philippines and the great thing about it was that I already knew Spanish and we could speak to each other, it was pretty interesting. Also my sister is pretty obsessed with Pacific Island men, like The Rock, lol.
