Poor choice that predates my arrival to HA. Apparently my last tenure was the golden years...

I agree with those posters who argue that other forms of social media have become more popular than discussion forums, particularly among a younger -20-something- age group.
However, there have been plenty of discussions over the years in the General section on subjects like alcohol, food, tv and culture, films and so on, but they only thrive if members contribute. I suspect most visitors to HA are not interested in posting contributions and are really here for the visual stimuli and any links they cant get to other websites or events in the real world. There are lively discussions in the Politics & Religion section but most members of HA never contribute to the section even though sometimes they post their opinions on threads which exist in Politics & Religion in other sections of HA. I venture to suggest that on some sensitive topics members of HA prefer not to tell us what they think.
There are also lively discussions in the Escorts section which do not just do what you would expect, but extend the news and reviews to discuss aspects of location, price, safety, and the behaviour of escorts and their clients which can often make for humorous or worrying reading!
I have taken an interest in other Discussion Forums on the web related to my work, but I do think that as a medium of exchange such fora do not have the vibrancy that they had when they replaced the yahoo groups and alt.dot discussion groups which no longer exist (?).
Nevertheless, I think HA is well-managed, has a lot more to offer than most Discussion Groups and may even be the best of its kind on the web, if that does not sound too pompous, and given that I don't know HungDevils or any other trans-related fora.
I should have seen that, silly me. But in that case, it proves your arrival lifted the levels of discussion lol.
Objection! That thread contains pages of replies with, albeit a bit grotesk and gross, ideas in it, while my find barely touches the entire ABC!
thanks for the tip, I nearly soiled myself laughing and I just reached page 5.
Page 5, you've stopped short of the best bit "James shares beautiful words. He does not share diarrhea." still has the power to make me chuckle months later...
Anyway I will respectfully resubmit a new "low intelligence" thread for your consideration.

(I have plenty more in reserve, I'll beat yours eventually...:D)
Wow, this dude deserves compassion, and a lobotomy. Who knows, it might benefit his career. But still, clearly intelligent people contributed to this thread, no class A answer like or Please hold your answer till I work my way through the interesting topic of rump roasting, just fascinating. I have my mouth-water within reach.
Well I'm new and haven't really seen any convo here either unfortunately, is it any other forums like this? If so I would think that's what's going on, a migration of sorts.
Was eating dinner (scrambled eggs and chorizo)...watching random TV show - "Rosewood"..(seems like dopey show, but very pretty people) ...
and then the main character at one point mentioned a 'passel' of pigs...and I said (to myself) "heyyy...wait a minute...."
These are things we've learned from conversation here. I learned the words tout court and savoir faire from Stavros...good words of French origin that I looked up at the time and I think recall the meaning. Rump roast. That's another one but I haven't been able to figure out the meaning. Anyone?
