I don't think anyone's suggested this yet: Try KIK and see if there's any trans/LGBTQ+ groups in your area! It sometimes works... The app is absolutely INFESTED with bots tho. The people who manage those groups in my area are pretty good at keeping the bots out but there's far more bots on that app than humans!
