Btw, you've misrepresented my claim which wasn't directed at thugs and criminals but rather at the cowardly assholes who insist on concealed carry so they can practice acts of spontaneous vigilante heroism.

Yeah, but in your misguided attempt to save everyone from 'spontaneous vigilante heroism' you've failed to realize that by taking guns out of law abiding citizens hands you are just making it that much easier for criminals to commit crime. Why can't you seem to wrap your head around that? How naive are you? If I am a criminal do you really think gun laws are going to stop me from getting a gun? I would LOVE it if everyone was banned from having a gun because that makes me the most lethal force on the streets.

Why do you think the mob was never able to setup shop in Texas but it was so easy in New York? Do you know why? It is because people in Texas were allowed to legally carry guns and it is a lot harder to strong arm someone for cash when they have just as many guns as you do. This is the same argument when speaking about nuclear armament. It is unfair to say we can have guns as police, but you can't as citizens, we can have nukes as the united states, but countries we deem a threat cannot.

No, i'm not advocating we take away your right to carry... just have the balls to carry openly. If that little stipulation prevents you from carrying at all, then how can we count at all on your vigilante protections?

Put yourself in the mind of a criminal, I am sitting in my car waiting to mug someone. Now I know everyone by law has to show their firearm if they are carrying, after all Trish is president and put this law into effect, now after about 10 minutes and counting 30 people that walked on this street, I realized they all had guns on them except one person. Guess who is getting mugged?
Same scenario, except looking at those same 30 people I have no idea who to mug, because I have no idea who is carrying a gun. Now the risk for me mugging someone is the chance that I might be shot and killed if I happen to choose a bad target. This is why open carry as a law won't work.
