True Detective HBO Sunday night: great tv.
assuming this thread means the drama series, since breaking bad is over,...true blood, vampire diaries,...true detective,..homeland,..game of throne...sons of anarchy,..and of course- the walking dead.
i gave up on sleepy hollow and bates motel. and even Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., ain't what i thought they would be,and i total missed the dracula series.
Watching 2nd season of House of Cards on Netflix.
Hostages (2013)
I don't watch much tv but this sounded intriguing mainly because I like hostage dramas, from Key Largo to Captain Phillips. The basic premise, that a surgeon is going to operate on the President is taken hostage by people who want her to kill him off during the operation, is so full of holes it can barely be seen -and after the first couple of episodes it seems to have disappeared. For some reason the sub-plots have become quite interesting and I enjoy it for what it is worth -we are about two-thirds of the way through it in the UK.
I also liked the first series of The Americans, in particular the lead actress Keri Russell.

The Good Wife. Intelligent but underrated. Nashville. Soap operish but good music (in series one. Not sure about two yet). Various Scaninavian drama when its on (The Bridge, Borgen, The Killing) . Friday Night Lights. (I know nothing about college football but this is good) The Americans Enjoyable hokum. Girls. Madmen. Elementary (daft modern sherlock Sholmes but with the lovely Lucy Liu) Modern Family and House Of Cards - now back fr a second season.
In the past The Sopranos, The Wire, Twin Peaks and The West Wing
I'm religiously following True Detective right now, but I need to get caught up on Game of Thrones. HBO is still making some of the best shows on TV. I'm also trying to get back into Justified, mostly because I'm curious to see if the series will change after the passing of Elmore Leonard (R.I.P.), and of course there's always Archer.
