Yep, I know enough Spanish, Hindi, and Sanskrit to recognize loan words in Tagalog. The accent throws me for a loop, though! Well, with some girls. When I talk to Aubrey, I have no trouble understanding her. She speaks English, Spanish, Tagalog and Cebuano I believe (she lives in Cebu but also in Manila). Fascinating culture and languages.

No, I often talk to a girl who is half japanese half filipino. I'm personally getting into japanese language because I'm going there next year, but I'm picking up a bit of tagalog from her too.
I wish I was dating or married to a filipino. They are some of the prettiest girls around.
