She's had major problems in her personal life and has always been pretty fragile. I come from a similar background back in Scotland, and being different in any way let alone start the process of transition would always have been difficult to say the least.
It's a great shame as she is a really sweet kid. I hope she's able to find the support that she needs close at hand, otherwise I really fear for her safety.
