Do you also speak Cebuano, Juliana? It's spoken by almost as many Filipinos as Tagalog (statistics say 22 million speak Tagalog and 20 million Cebuano). I think there's close to 20 native languages spoken in the Philippines, not to mention European languages like English and Spanish. What fascinates me is the ease with which Filipinos appear to move from Tagalog or Cebuano to English or Spanish and back.

i know some cebuano words, but tagalog is what i speak, i was born and raised in manila that's why, tagalog is the language even cebuanos know and speak. yes, our language is derived from indian, chinese, arabic, spanish, english and japanese words ya know? and it's very easy for us to learn languages. aside from english, tagalog and spanish, i speak a little bit of japanese too, foreign laguages has been my thing because i think the influence of culture and traveling that it has got into me.Quote:
