They were taken down because of the new sex trafficking law, if you host a site, and allow sex trafficking ads, make money off of ads, you get shut down, very simple......

However

If you host dating ads, and monitor the ads, delete the escorts, you can stay up.
Craigslist knew it would be impossible, they took the site down, was not shut down. They knew it would be impossible to filter, monitor that many ads they get daily. Did not want to take the risk of the Govn coming after them.

Some sites, backpage was allowing sex trafficking, ( allowing ), so the Govn shut them down.

Responsibility in the eyes of the Govn is to take down the sex trafficking ads......
Morals, if you feel escorts are ok, but the problem also is people being sold for sex, adults and minors.....

The sites are so big, so much data, so many ads, how can a host monitor all the ads?
Filters, can help, but approving each ad will take forever.

Recently Facebooks mark zuckerburg got grilled by congress, he could not answer how to prevent bad ads from getting on the platform, he states he hired 20,000 people to manage the posts.

He says AI will help eventually, who knows.....

Stormy Daniels- Is a grown woman who had a consensual affair with a married man. While I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt and believe her story about someone threatening her about exposing the affair, I wouldn't consider her a victim.

Monica Lewinsky- Was of a legal age when she had a consensual affair with a married man. While one can argue that Clinton used his position of power to take advantage of her and the national ridicule she received was harsh, once again I can't consider her a victim.

I don't know much about the other women, so I can't comment on them.

If you had bothered to read my earlier post you would see that I acknowledged that Bill Clinton had behaved badly and that any credible allegations of illegal behaviour should be dealt with by the legal system in either case. If you'd bothered to read the post I was responding to you would see that he's denying any wrongdoing by Trump, so why aren't you taking issue with him?

But thanks for proving my prediction right so quickly. I guess you'll ignore what I just said and continue to post the same thing for several more pages.
