The security issue is for the hotel not for the occupant. If she or he takes something from the hotel or damages something. The hotel will call the police and the police will persue the matter. If you have been ripped off however the police will do nothing. I know of a couple of cases where a person had traceable items stolen (cellphone, camera, watch) and the person noticed shortly after the girl left. They called the police. The police had the girls name and a copy of her ID and where she worked on the street. They did nothing. He saw her the next night on the same spot.
This is another reason to stay away from street walkers. You have a little more pull if you take her out of a bar. You can go back to the bar with tourist police. You might or might not get your stuff back, but the bar hates to have police scrutiny. The girl might loose her job or be suspended.
