I agree. Graceland was the last truly great album. IMHO his achievement with the trilogy of songs about the American Dream - America, from Bookends, American Tune from Kodachrome, and Graceland, from the eponymous album, are the musical equivalent of Steinbeck's finest prose. Carved in granite.

I loved S&G too, but have always preferred the songs that Simon wrote after the breakup. Since getting the albums on CD I've been knocking out new versions of lots of the songs on my trusty Taylor.
