Bill Cosby is one of the only sane black voices in America today. I know you HATE to quote him, but thank God he is assured enough in his own skin to tell the truth about society today.
Let's face it...the only black morality today was taught by the family and especially by the fathers. Has anyone seen the stats on black fatherhood lately? Probably not from the liberal press.

Bill Cosby has weighed in on the Trayvon Martin case.
The famed comedian told the Washington Times that neighborhood watch volunteers like George Zimmerman, who shot and killed the unarmed black teenager, should not be allowed to carry guns.
"We've got to get the gun out of the hands of people who are supposed to be on neighborhood watch," Cosby said in his first public remarks about the case, published today.
"Without a gun, I don't see Mr. Zimmerman approaching Trayvon by himself," Cosby added. "The power-of-the-gun mentality had him unafraid to confront someone. Even police call for backup in similar situations.
"When you carry a gun, you mean to harm somebody, kill somebody."
"The Cosby Show" star's remarks were immediately circulated on the Web, including conservative sites that took issue with Cosby's pinpointing "the gun" as the problem.

According to a records search on George, George M. Zimmermann was previously arrested for domestic violence, resisting an officer without violence and most shockingly, resisting an officer with violence — a felony charge that surely could have landed him in prison.
All three of those arrests, however, were mysteriously closed with no semblance of charges for the Florida resident. So how was someone with a violent past including that of battery against an officer able to carry a 9 mm handgun? Maybe that’s a question Robert Zimmerman should answer. Or maybe is it because Zimmerman’s father is a retired judge hence the three dropped and why the state attorney’s office decided not to press charges?

New Evidence Contradicts Zimmerman’s Claim of a Violent Fight With Trayvon Martin

While George Zimmerman still has not been charged in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, his public defense — as espoused by his lawyer and family members — rests on the fact that Zimmerman was involved in a physical altercation with Martin. New evidence, however, contradicts that version of events. First there was the security camera footage from the night Zimmerman claims Martin beat him senselessly: to most who watched the video, Zimmerman appeared unscathed.
Now Richard Kurtz, the Miami funeral director who examined Trayvon Martin's body, says the body "showed no signs of a violent brawl."
We could see no physical signs like there had been a scuffle [or] there had been a fight. The hands — I didn't see any knuckles, bruises or what have you, and that is something we would have covered up if it would have been there.
In the strongest statement issued, Kurtz says Trayvon Martin "looked perfectly normal to me when he came in and the story just does not make sense that he was in this type of scuffle or fight in anything that we could see." Furthermore, EMS documents obtained by the New York Daily News Friday indicate that a second ambulance was canceled. It had been called for the "second victim" who was "not a gunshot." Whatever injuries Zimmerman did sustain in the apparent fight must not have been sufficient to merit emergency medical response.

If Zimmerman is ever taken in for proper interrogation it will only be because of the public outrage and the light being shone on this incident. The police clearly thought this would go away and never see the light of day. They were content to let Zimmerman walk with his gun on the lame excuse that he thought his life was in danger.

It's true that justice delayed is not NECESSARILY justice denied...if you ignore the extended pain and suffering of Trayvon's family...and you ignore the injustice of living under SYG which allows this sort of miscarriage to occur. But there is also more to justice than a thorough interrogation of the shooter. There needs also to be thorough investigation of the evidence, and it's already too late for that. Neighbors should've been questioned while their memories were fresh, the scene should have been swept by a forensics team before it was contaminated, Zimmerman should have search for evidence of defensive wounds etc. No. It's too late for real justice. If Zimmerman is guilty of murder, it's probably too late already to determine that beyond a reasonable doubt. If Zimmerman is innocent, it's probably too late to determine that in the court of popular opinion. But I'll applaud if Trayvon's family get their optimal share of justice under the law and if Zimmerman gets his fair and optimal share of justice under the law.
